I love my 65” LG CX. I now have over 15,000 hours on it and no burn in. I’m retired and keep it on news networks a lot. The secret that I keep the tv from getting burn in is. - Crop out the news banner with vertical zoom or 4 way zoom settings. When I watch movies and sports I go back to original or 16.9 setting on my LG. All these settings are in LGs Picture - Aspect Ratio Settings. I just don’t know why this isn’t brought up more. LG has these settings and I don’t know about the others.

I got almost 2 years lg c1 48" with WBC panel. More than 6000hours as pc monitor(i used 0% pixel brightness when i was on desktop) and zero burn in. But i found tons of dead pixels on right side of panel. I RMA TV and they give me new panel. This time its wbe/evo panel(pink tint when watching full screen white color from angle) so i am happy. I think most lg tvs will suffer from dead pixels than burn in.

I saw severe burn in on a 65-inch S90C a few weeks ago. Customer was using it as a PC monitor. It had the outline of their PC background (a beach scene) imprinted across the entire screen. Worst I've ever seen. I had conscience conflict -- my internal devil chuckled (you should know better), and my TV enthusiast angel cried (i thought we were past this).

This is because QD tech gets much brighter then standard OLED, also the lack of a white sub pixel also plays part in that. And QD tech is new that’s why I’m staying away from it I’ll stick with LG the king of OLED. And there the most reliable due to them doing this for many more years then Samsung. Not only is Samsung OS trash the quality control is ass. Most of these big KZbinrs just like a unnatural image that’s why they love this but if you crank up the color on the C3 and G3 you can get that same oversaturated image, which is also not true to the way movie makers meant for you to watch movies. But to each their own LG is still the best and still the number 1 OLED makers. Also don’t forget Samsung updates that legit nurf the tv brightness so that you have to run and buy there next flagship tv 😂.

I still have my doubts with OLED, I put it in the simplest way possible, pay more money and keep thinking about burn in and short life span of pixels or pay less for a nice LED and have a peace of mind? I chose the peace of mind and bought the X90l and I am really happy with it.

S95B launch edition, 3 months, static image burn in, they wouldn't honour the warranty. Scamsung lol. Thanks for this KG, hopefully put people's mind at ease a bit.

I've had my S95B for a little over a year and a half, it's my daily driver. Lots of gaming, movies and regular TV viewing. Sadly Apex Legends has left it's mark with the health bar on the bottom left of the screen. It's faint and not noticeable during most content but I first seen it when I kid was playing a game with a bright background, did a burn-in test n it's there. Sucks, the picture is phenomenal and 2nd to none when it comes to gaming. Don't think I'll ever be able to go back to an edge lit panel, just sucks that the price for OLED is a shorter lifespan if you're playing games with static images. My next TV will be an OLED despite knowing this.. lol hopefully they find a way to curb burn-in all together in the future

I have the S95B owned for 1yr 2m "4451hrs" used for lots of gaming but more than I would like to admit.... lots of bright colored kids youtube music lol which typically have a saturated color water mark in one of the corners on the screen for the hours it's on & kids don't always remember to turn off the TV if they are done or just leave it on a static screen forever. I have always had max peak brightness, max backlight & all "screen protection" features off as well as I disabled the "ASBL" in the SM So far it has endured all the abuse and just keeps trucking no burn in what's so ever.

I just ran a burn in test on my oled and I must be very lucky there is not one bit of burn in or dead pixels, I never run more then 85% brightness i feel like that has helped it from any damages. The best part though is I actually got it for free because the shop sent me 2 by mistake😅 thanks JB HI-FI.❤

14,574 hours on my second panel on my LG oled 65B7P, and I have horrible burn in from warching CNBC. LG replaced the first panel under warranty, but I had to pay for labor. Debatimg on replacing her with a Sony A95L, X95L, LG G4, or seeing what Sony 2024 has to offer. I also own an LG OLED 77"cx with zero burn in, but I don't watch CNBC on that TV at all. I play a lot of PS5 and watch Netflix on my 65B7P, too.

I own a S95B 65 inch since September 2022 ! I watch TV, apps, play PS5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch ! For more than 4000 hours !!! And everything is just fine 😇🙏 No burn in or something else… I hope it’s going to stay like this for the next years ! 🤞 But I’m scared about blue pixels life… I read that they have just 8000 hours longevity life, this is so short… if that’s real my S95B is already at 50% of his life… 3 years for a TV that costs me almost 3000€ here in France is really bad and short… 😭

I’ll be putting a G4 to the test this year.(My 1st OLED). I figure it will be powered on between 14 to 16 hours per day. This will be across a large variety of video games, movie streaming, cable and KZbin. 365 x 15 = 5475 hrs per year. My Q9FN has been pulling this duty since the end of 2018 and is still going strong. I really hope this TV will do the same but I have my doubts as my current TV is likely well over 20,000 hours.

I was debating between an OLED and a Neo QLED for my living room and ended up buying the QN85A, mostly because of burn-in worries. After some time, it develop terrible DSE. A big slightly darker vertical stripe occupying the entire third quarter of the screen from left to right. Very visible on bright solid colors and distracting while watching soccer. A lot of LCDs from RTINGS' burn-in test are in terrible shape after the stress test too. Moral of the story is no screen is safe at all and avoiding the best tech available because of these fears is dumb.

Got burn in on my C1 from BF2042. It's light, so its not too bad and can only really see it on blue. Next time I'll go mini or micro LED. 🤔 Edit: What got burned is the primary weapon box and health bar. Wish there was a way to eliminate that from the hud or dim it.

I had several logo's(espn, discovery, fox sports, etc) so I stayed away for a long time. But now the tech is so much better. Do you by any chance have a video for a80l settings? I have got an LG 48C1 with more than 10000 hours, i use it as a monitor for work also for gaming and moves. Unfortunately i have got some burn in mainly at the bottom of the screen because of the task bar thats a strong one and also have several other spots with slightly visible. But honestly i am not able to see it even if i am concentrating intensely on it while i am gaming or watching films I can only see it when i make an oled test.

i have c1 wbc and by just using it for 7 month gaming like 2 hours a day. msi afterburner stats are burned in 😤 on red sub pixel only i take the blame as i didn't change the stats color to black right from the start. I've come to terms with oleds if you master the art of protecting it it's just going to dim over time nothing more. the motion handling is the only thing that keeps me with oled . can't stand any motion weirdness or blur or ghosting on leds. if anyone know a led tv that don't do that i appreciated it if you mentioned it. right now the only oled that withstands the rtings torture test is s95c ! has no burn in after 10 months of stress testing!!!

That's not normal, 2 hours a day for 7 months is only 424 hours... These panels are way more durable than that, some people have 1-2k hours on a single game and not even the HUD elements are burned in, are you sure your TV is doing the pixel cleanings after 4 cumulative hours? I've heard of TV's bugging out and not triggering them...

@@A_Burly_Gnoll QD OLED seems to be more prone to burn in. It's def not "less prone to burn in than LG OLED" as they originally claimed Especially when viewing large white windows, like computer work. It has to use all 3 subpixels to make white, so it's hard on the display. RTINGS had issues with their QD OLEDS within the first year.
