To be honest I think you and a lot of people here don’t realize is why he paints himself as a villain. His videos have gotten more and more unhinged over the years as to where people would just tune in in order to see the dumpster fire he supposedly turned in to. His rants, incessant crying and sobbing bouts amidst the food that’s causing it all. It was what the internet wanted him to be as it gave him a lot of engagement. Thats why he was a villain, the internet saw him as a sad human being, being the pissing stock of the internet and unable to help himself. His losing the weight is a "jokes on you" kind of thing. Just going off this video alone wont give you this background. And yes it is cringe and stupid but that’s what the character was too.

The only thing I'm curious about, regardless of how he lost the weight, are the physical tells of extreme weight loss. As an individual who has lost and gained weight in both unhealthy and healthy ways multiple times, I don't know how there are no noticeable stretch marks or loose skin? I am no doctor but from firsthand experience, 5 months is far too short of a timeframe to lose that much weight and maintain the elasticity and integrity of your skin. I don't see any obvious scarring indicative of excess skin removal, and to my knowledge, things such as lipo and cool sculpting only go so far in regards to masking the appearance of weight loss. Unless there are procedures I'm unaware of, diet and exercise changes alone don't result in such subtle physical effects of weight loss? I don't doubt that he lost the weight, but 250lbs in 5 months is what gets me. It had to have been a much longer and slower process given his current physique. Anyway, at the end of the day I don't care. It was just something I found odd in this. Maybe it's the specificity of the radio of time and pounds lost? His video immediately read as a sad impression of Heath Ledger's joker though 😂

Misophonia, me too! I cannot stand people eating! So, the most surprising thing about this dude is that anyone would watch his content in the first place. Seriously, all of these "famous youtubers" (the makeup guy, the brown-haired girl with the ukelele, the girl who found jesus, the group of guys where one had an affair, etc) with a high subscriber/view count really make me lose my faith in the younger generations ability to weed out crap entertainment. Sigh. (Maybe I'm just a crotchety old Gen X-er but the stupidity of these channels hurts my soul)

I’m sorry but respectfully I have to disagree on some points and interpretations you made in this video. I have been a subscriber and supporter of yours for a while and will always continue to be because you are good at what you do, fair and honest. There is a lot of negativity when it comes to Nicks video, most of the videos are just ridiculous bs, plenty are jumping on that train to stay relevant because it’s trending and gets the views and clicks. Thank you for being true to who you are, respectful but honest. That video is totally misunderstood, mostly because of the delivery of what he has to say was….. lack of better words absolutely the worst way to express his self possibly. There are no excuses for his behavior, and how he spoke on the video. As far as being scripted, well yes and no, but not in the way you think. I know that video was done a million times over, in a million different ways before he even first decided to make this video. Practiced a ton of times in a ton of ways, and that’s before sitting down in front of the camera. I’m sure that this video was re recorded so many times, most content creators would scrap the whole thing before actually letting it be and posting. So was it scripted? Yes, but not in the way I believe your meaning. Maybe you could clarify a bit of what you meant by scripted. I admit that an am the complete opposite of an expert in body language. In fact the only knowledge I have is by learning from you. Yes the acting is absolutely horrible, because it is not who he is as a person. Nick is really a very caring person, it is obvious when you see Nick being his self. I understand from experience, why or what drives this behavior. Open to discussion about this, but to much for one comment. There is so much truth to the saying that the eyes are the window to the soul, looking in his eyes it is easy to see there are some very deep wounds. In fact I would bet some trauma as well. Regardless of how someone feels about Nick, you are the only creator that mentioned his health journey, and said that it should be celebrated. Regardless of how it’s done, loosing 250 lbs took a lot of hard work and dedication. Hate to burst most people’s bubble, the is absolutely no way possible that makes weight loss especially 250 lbs as easy as some magic pill or shot. There is no surgery that makes it easy, or some fad diet like example keto that makes weight loss easy. Yes 2 years is enough time to loose 250 lbs. it blows my mind, instead of saying Hey Nick good job, people won’t acknowledge the hard work he put in but instead trying to prove so ridiculous theory that proves them right and they can use it to tear another person down. All that work does is show how truly insecure a person is about their self. I can’t speak to the theories that have to do with anything tech, but from a medical professional yes a person can loose 200 lbs in a healthy way and yes it is possible to have very little extra skin. Not only is it possible but actually doable. Not everyone can have the same results because there are many factors, but a large amount can do it with no meds, surgery, or magic diet. When are people going to stop being such buttheads and just be happy for this accomplishment?
@alexisw28586Ай бұрын
The idea that he intentionally gained the 250lbs and endangering his health and well-being to then lose it as some sort of a social experiment is repugnant. That is what bothers me. If he said that his eating got out of control and he decided to take back control of his life and his health. Then yes, I would absolutely commend him. I don't believe his narrative. I do believe the results.
@thatsalt1560Ай бұрын
It is literally scripted.
@jessicasplans6848Ай бұрын
@@thatsalt1560 so it true because because you said so? Hmmm a person that doesn’t know him in real life. He doesn’t know you exist, yet because you say so that makes it fact? Yup sorry absolutely not convinced. How did you come up with this conclusion? Where is the proof? Most people making a strong statement have facts, opinions, studies, observations…. You give nothing other then it has to be true because thatsalt1560 says it is. When you’re ready to share, I’m here to listen to what you have to say.
@thatsalt1560Ай бұрын
@@jessicasplans6848It's true because he posted the same script two years ago.
@jessicasplans6848Ай бұрын
@@alexisw28586 your absolutely correct in my opinion that someone or anyone that would to that is absolutely horrible. Especially if they have a platform and young people can be so influenced. But still there is more to all this, not to mention that social experiment thing and how he presented it was the absolute worst way possible. How he did it was so wrong, yet at the same time a big part of it was a response of some pretty deep wounds. Although it doesn’t make is actions excusable, but looking at the whole picture of how it happened…people would understand what was behind that video.

I think that from now on he should be showing the cover of the newspaper when he films. That could prove the date. Maybe HE’S the ant since he didn’t think of proving any of his weight shifting. I can also determine whether he’s hefty or slim by listening to him talk. When heavy, you can hear more cheek slurping. I know, sounds gross.

The thing is, I’ve never cared enough about him to view any of his videos. Great that he lost the weight of two people, but I think his video got SO many views because that much weight loss in so little time is shocking to see. The next time he puts out a video, there’ll be nothing going on here but crickets chirping. He’s a mess. 🍀

His job is making money on KZbin, and he's clearly many steps ahead. People who had never followed him or even knew he existed are now talking about him, making videos, and commenting on him, creating massive buzz. While he may have lost weight, his wallet is definitely exploding! The whole situation is hilarious, and whether it's a "social experiment" or not, he's undeniably skilled at playing the game.
