Adler is so handsome. He is getting so big. I loved and giggled when he was saying the names of the animals. Adler blond hair and blue eyes you need to show him more often. I still cannot figure out why you walk twice to feed the cattle. Get you a bucket to put their feed into and then pour it into the feed bed. Smokey is the highlife of the farm. WOW! she wouldn't leave her pen. That is amazing. Did you ever get the DNA test back? I can't remember if you did please point me to the video. Thank you You need to get Red a friend so she can sit on some babies.

Boss Adler is getting bigger everyday and smarter. He wasn't about to let go of his Saurse Bin. I love how they pronounce their words at his age. Having a big brother will make it even more fun together. Case will be teaching him a lot. Even the animals know the sun is shining. You have to be careful on the ice, we've seen you slip in the driveway and you can easily pull something out of whack. You may be right about our state being the only one without snow. Stay warm, be safe.

Birds: start watching at 13:13, when you say "but we'll get'er straightened up", you can see a humming bird flutter at the first yellow feeder from the left. Keep watching, and you'll see it fly off to the left as you say, "when the ice came through" after, "the cardinals and bluebirds". They'll all come back as the weather warms and the black birds leave.

Here's a tip for them crows, I tried it and it worked. If you have any old cd/dvd and fishing wires take 3-4 make a mobile out of it to where the breeze moves the cd as they see the reflection of themselves or the sun Sparks will puzzle them and frightened them away they will remember that as they see it and won't return. You will be suprize it wont bother other birds 🐦

Black birds will most likely move on once their main source of food(fields) opens up. Large cities have the bird problem during winter and birds will roost in trees at night for the warmth. The main problem in cities though is the poop they leave behind.
@rondadavis97893 жыл бұрын
No way to get rid of them if you keep putting food out for them. Sometimes you can move the feeders to a different area far enough away from where they are right now and it helps.

Love your vlogs. Especially the interactions with Smokey and you talking about and to your animals. I saw another farm vlog where their pigs didn't use the water nipple much, so peanut butter was put on the tip of it so their pigs would use it for water. Maybe it'll work for you. Now that I think about it, I think it was Dutch at Keeping it Dutch, talking about Brandy out the peanut butter there.

It was gosh darn nice today that I was out the entire day doing anything and everything. I rode around to check fence (good thing too, had a limb fall on the fence that cuts off the backwoods to the horses/hay pasture, they could have had a wander if they wanted). Pulled a couple big rocks out of the hay pasture, checked the fishing pond for life(right now, just stupid algae, grr), checked the big burn pile to see if I can do another burn, picked rocks at the ponds outlet/spillway(it is where the horses drink when they get moved to the back lot next month), cleared out my flowerbeds by the house and added some rock borders(yay Missouri free garden borders, you pick, but still free), moved the meatbirds out of my greenhouse(they get processed this weekend), loved up on the cows and the 2 calves (still have 3 more to come this season), checked the last goat to kid(she's holding those kids hostage), went back in the woods to pink on some targets, took down the heavy duty winterization that had to happen around the farm with the storm, unplugged the trough heaters, unplugged heatlamps(mine are the safety type), unplugged and rolled up the cord for the heater on the little tractor(oil pan type), unplugged and moved the big tractor out of the shop, aired out the garage (2 of the 6 dogs sleep in there at night) and unplugged their heater, cleaned up the heavy blankets and bedding they had, and put their kennels to rights. Sowed some flower seeds around(mostly Poppies), moved my truck to where I usually park it (I park closer to the kitchen door when it is nasty weather), torched the weeds in the raised beds in the main garden, and?? Took time to just sit down and sip some iced tea while grinning like an idiot. It got up to 71 here and man oh man was it Heavenly. The best hose bits.
