I remember being gagged by the first season so I was of course going to sit down for the second and make videos so we can experience it together. 19:53 fun fact: when I was in the 1st grade my parents took my brother and I to a horse race. My father asked me which one I would bet on or which one I thought would win. (Obvs my father was the one betting, not me). I said “the pink one” as that was my favorite color at the time. That horse won. I then proceeded to continue to pick the pink one. My dad kept trying to explain to me that it wasn’t the same horse every time, it was just wearing pink. I didn’t understand, probably cause I was 5/6. My dad decided that there was no point in trying to explain this to me b/c I clearly wasn’t getting it, he also didn’t bet on the pink horses again. The pink horses won about 4 more times and he probably would’ve won hundreds of dollars if he had listened to me lmao. Jokes on you dad 😂

Oh, yes marriage was business. The dowries they speak about with the Featheringtons, that was the money families would pay a man to take their daughters off their hands. And that was the consideration in a marriage contract- a literal contract like you would draw up now to pay for goods. If you go back to Season 1, Anthony mentions he was going to draw up such a marriage contract for Daphne. And if someone wanted to back out of the engagement following execution of the contract, you could absolutely (and people did), sue for compensation. The amount of the dowry, for instance. So…yeah. Mostly business. Edit: and what Kate mentioned earlier, about women being considered “merely chattel”- that was how they were viewed in contract law. As chattel (ie, old-time word for personal property)

I literally have never seen anything like the chemistry Kate and Anthony have on screen. I was BREATHLESS through certain scenes! It is SO GOOOD. 🔥 🔥 I forgot about Simon and Daphne, I don’t know if any other couple in future seasons can even come close to topping them, but I will stick around to find out! You won’t see the Duke or much of Daphne this season. The show is based on a series of books with each book (and each series season) focusing on one of the Bridgerton children. Last season was Daphne, and this season is Anthony.

I watched a video about curiosities and actually anthony doesn't want to fall in love because he thinks he is going to die young just like his father(which is why he is obssesed with a clock in the first season he thinks he is losing time), so he doesn't want his partner to suffer like his mother did, i'm sad is not that clear because it's actually very important to understand why he kinda ignores kate because she may ignore him but that doesn't mean he can't make a move

1:31 Eloise was 18 in the first season, so in this one she’s 18-19 (not sure of the time jump). Kate is almost old enough to be considered “an old maid” at 26. 2:54 that I believe is an Irish accent. I think Penelope (idk if they’re of Irish heritage) thinks that she could pull off being Irish as she has red hair and freckles. Also the actress is Irish.

In the first season it was Daphne‘s first year so that means that she was 18. And Penelope in Eloise are a younger than her I think in the behind the scenes they said there was 11 year age difference between Daphne her older brother and the Duke 🤴 But in the books it was our third season or something so she was like 21 and dangerously close to becoming a spinster. Part of why they started the ruse so she could avoid the embarrassment of becoming a spinster

People who make comments about horse racing have never met a thoroughbred race horse. Those suckers are *competitive* as hell. My dad was a trainer at one time, and one of the horses in his care would get PIIIIISSSED if he lost a race. Totally calm if he won, but if he lost, he'd have a nasty attitude for the rest of the day. Horses want to run, and they want to run faster than the horses around them. That being said, they should absolutely be treated like the kings and queens they are, and any owner or trainer who mistreats their horses should get the death penalty. Still, don't badmouth the rest of them who take care of their horses. And most of them do, if only for the fact that they're friggin' expensive as hell, and you don't want to mess up a horse you just spent a million dollars on.
