Very true. A lot on non-experts in history, especially, speak on the crucifixion. This is common across the board in both religions. We definitely need more historical experts on such topics, no matter which religion it seems to go against. It opens up the intellectual discussions for our future generations, as well.

Thank you for sharing your view. Too many Muslims do not realise that ijtihad (personal reasoning), which naturally leads to a plurality of opinions, has always been a foundation of Islamic sciences. Intolerance of opinions that one does not agree with is one result of this ignorance of how Islamic knowledge was developed by countless scholars over many centuries. Serious learning requires studying all views, including those one disagrees with, and understanding what they are based on. The main focus of genuine learning is one’s self, i.e. it is self-education. Educating others is a process of sharing one’s learning, which is why it should follow self-eduction. Reversing the order of these two, which is not uncommon on social media and many public polemics, is a clear sign of a lack of genuine interest in or understanding of learning. The person who focuses on others before himself/herself is engaged in something that has nothing to do with serious learning and education. Attempting to stop others from uttering opinions that one does not approve of is a clear sign of this misrepresented and misguided focus that has nothing to do with learning or education.

@Soad Habeeb Why should we not focus? The Quran says NO - they did NOT crucify Jesus. Christianity says YES. It's a direct conflict. The previous scriptures FORETOLD of Jesus' PROTECTION from the w1cked plot of his enem1es. Psalm 91 1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will ONLY observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. 9 If you make the Most High your dwelling- even the LORD, who is my refuge- 10 then *NO HARM will befall you* , no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to *GUARD you* in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands ( *ASCENTION* ) , so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will RESCUE him; I will *PROTECT him* , for he acknowledges my name. 15 *He will call upon Me* (GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE) , and I will ANSWER him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With *LONG LIFE* (2000 YEARS already and how much more till the end of times. A miracle granted by God.) will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

@@julianhansen3717 Could you please reference a single historian who claims that he was an eyewitness of Jesus' Crucifixion? No YOU can't whatsoever. So if the "historians" wrote about a well spread rumor then to them obviously Jesus got Crucified. If certain groups believed that Jesus got Crucified and a "historian" writes that Jesus got Crucified, it certainly doesn't make it historic. ************************ The Quran is from God Almighty so it contains the evidence which is from THE ALL-KNOWING. *********** So let's reason and let's get the evidence settle the matter between us. Are YOU willing to go the distance on the subject. Of course at YOUR own convenience. 1 reply per day or every alternate day. Let's see how convinced you are of your position. Let's examine those "historical" claims as well. YOU'LL realize that the knowledge THE CREATOR has, is beyond any knowledge which any mortal has. We can continue for days and weeks as per YOUR convenience. No rush. No hurry. No scatter gun tactics. One point at a time. 🙂 *************** IF YOU'RE a Christian then don't YOU believe in MIRACLES? Historians cannot verify MIRACLES so they go with the natural flow where death is an inevitability. If every other Tom, Dick and Harry were getting Crucified at that time so yeah Jesus also got Crucified according to the "historical" method. Don't YOU know that Jesus PRAYED, IN TRUST, that the Cup is TAKEN AWAY from him. So why can't God Almighty accept the prayer of Jesus and protect him from the w1cked plot of his enem1es to crucify him? ***************** - Are YOU a Christian? If Yes, we'll go by the scripture route. - Are YOU a former Christian who is / was familiar with the Bible? If Yes, well go by the scripture route. - Are you an Atheists or Agnostic? We'll examine the "historical claims" that YOU bring up. ************ Here is just a teaser: Mark 15:26. And the inscription of His accusation was written above: *THE KING OF THE JEWS* . Vs Matthew 27:37. And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: *THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS* . Vs Luke 23:38. And an inscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: *THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS* . Vs John 19:19. Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: *JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS* . ************** That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him NOT, NOR crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, 🚩 *AND THOSE WHO DIFFER THEREIN ARE FULL OF DOUBTS, WITH NO (CERTAIN) KNOWLEDGE* , 👉 but only CONJECTURE to follow 👈, for of a surety they killed him not:- Quran 4:157 Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;- Quran 4:158

Thank you so much for your great work Paul! I just have one comment about what Dr Louay said. If Dr Louay was speaking on the Muslim belief in the beginning of the video regarding if Jesus was dead, I find it very misleading that he said “Yes (No).” The overwhelming majority of Muslims believe in his second coming, as the ahadith regarding his second coming are mutawatir (meaning that the Hadith was transmitted and narrated by so many people, that we cannot disregard the Hadith. And this is the highest form of authenticity for any Hadith by the way). Many scholars like Abu Hanifa and Imam Kawthari state that it is part of the Muslim faith to believe in Jesus’ second coming. So, if Dr Louay was speaking about the Muslim belief, he should have put “No” for if Jesus was dead or not, and should have disregarded his opinion. He could have told you that he disagrees with it, he has the right to hold his opinion, but he should not have put his opinion on behalf of Muslims in the PowerPoint.

Every soul tastes death . (Quran) Did Beloved Jesus son of Mary had a soul ? . Yes he did . So he did taste death . Quran is non contradictory , If you say he jesus did not die , then you are contradicting it . Quran is never contradictory . Our understanding and interpretation may be contradictory . There are no CONTRADICTIONS in Quran . Jesus did not die then at the cross , he was falsely proclaimed dead by the centurion , because the stormy conditions arouse within few hrs of the attempt at crucifixion . No one dies on cross in few hrs unless and until the legs are cut off . Then and only then death occurs within a few hours due to massive blood loss , HIS LEGS WERE NOT CUT OFF . We know for sure . The two others who were crucified along with him one to his right and the other to left their legs were cut off. Therefore since JESUS legs were not cut off , he was not dead He had just lost his consciousness and when laid in the chamber, from a vertical position on cross to a horizontal position in the chamber , his brain received proper circulation of blood , proper oxygenation . And he regained his consciousness and then left the chamber . He might have then moved away to another place and had a natural death and was thus raised .

Dear Paul, did you read the Gnostic gospel of St. Peter? There is a long conversation between Jesus and his apostle Peter the day the crucifixion occured before their eyes . There were two Jesus(es) according to this gospel (one standing next to Peter talking to him and smiling and another one being nailed on the cross)! That gospel was found in a clay jar buried somewhere near a village in Egypt. İt was written in an ancient Coptic language. İt is said that the scripts were written about two centuries AD. İn a word , that gospel confirms what the Quran mentions about the killing and the crucifixion of Jesus son of Mary. Thanks to give us your views & comments on that particular Gospel.

This channel is evidence that top quality islamic scholars are alive and well in the world. This channel is like a new house of wisdom (Bayt al Hikma). When Akbar, the great Moghul ruler, was emperor he established a discussion forum where religious scholars from every tradition would sit and discuss the truth which inspired him to find the universal truth of all religions- Din Ilahi. That was 400 years ago. Paul thank you for your channel sir and keep going! It is important to maintain the legacy of truth initiating from Our Master, the Prophet.

Hi Paul. Assalamoalikum. I have a request. Could you get Dr. Fatoohi back on another episode to discuss why he doesn't believe in the return of Isa (Jesus). I'd like him to dissect the verses of the Qur'an that the scholars refer to AND the abundance of Sahih Ahadeeth that refer to it as well. If the discussion does turn to the unreliability of saheeh ahadith, I'd also love an episode of which ones he considers particularly problematic, why, and what reformations he'll bring to the criteria to judge ahadith so we can isolate the actually authentic ones. Great video btw. Keep it up.

Great work thank you 🙏🏻 To my mind, we shouldn’t deny the prophecy of the suffering messiah because even a prophetic messiah (rassul) such as Moses ؑ or Muhammad ‎ﷺ suffered greatly with his people. Only we should develop an Islamic definition for the terms “sacrifice”’, “redemption” and “suffering”. Then it would be much easier to identify the one who fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah 53. From Ishmael (Muhammad’s ancestor) to Abdullah (his father) and Hussain (his grandson), the sacrifice was great: “Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial - and We ransomed him with a great sacrifice” Quran 37:106-107 Worthy is the lamb who was slain… Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.

It's worth pointing out that, as far as human perceptions are concerned, the Quranic account conforms to the New Testament account, i.e. that it 'appeared' that Jesus was crucified. So even from a Quranic perspective, the New Testament authors are accurately reporting what people actually perceived to have happened with respect to the crucifixion.

That 'Iisaa ibn Maryam wasn't crucified but the attempter (to be the killer) was was killed (by his companions of the act to kill) and then crucified (stll alive or dead) who they later called Jesus (in the so-called koine Greek, through hearsays)! Ahaadiith are the same as the Bibles, all no direct connection to Allaah and His Prophets, just hearsays of Men into their way to becoming (with or without intentions) to Men-Gods! Allaah vs humanity! The enemy of humanity is only humanity itself! Humanity is the same be it Believers, non-Believers, Animists, Spiritualitists, Agnostics, Atheists, JudeoChristians, Hinduists, Buddhists, Shintoists and certainly Muslims... all with or without knowing follow humanity. @Muslim Viking @ConsideringPhlebas is in the footsteps of his real master Paul of the Bible. @ConsideringPhlebas deliberately made such a comment to try to confuse people. *THE DE😈IL'S GOSPEL FROM PAUL of the Bible* The Bible EXPOSES that Paul would go to a certain place and give his narrative to the people. However, there would be certain people / messengers going across who would give a different narrative/ different Gospel to the same people that had been exposed to Paul earlier. THEN Paul would write letters to those places / public again to try and convince them to come back to the narrative that he had presented and that those people had now discredited, disbanded, abandoned. Of course that counter narrative / Gospel to the one by Paul was considered authentic by those people. There is already evidence of ANOTHER GOSPEL AND ANOTHER JESUS which is contrary to Paul's "MY Gospel" and people are QUICKLY abandoning the Paul's abomination "My Gospel". Galatians 1:6 I am astonished that you are SO QUICKLY DESERTING the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ AND ARE TURNING TO A DIFFERENT GOSPEL-- "....... ANOTHER GOSPEL -" We also see that Paul the deceiver has to constantly defend himself. Obviously there would be people who were teaching counter to Paul and would be going around telling people that what Paul is teaching is falsehood. 20 I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie. ********** We can also observe the term "MY GOSPEL" from the lips of Paul. This will take place on the day when God judges people's secrets through Jesus Christ, AS MY GOSPEL declares. ******* So coming back, we see that there would be certain people / messengers going across who would give a different narrative/ Gospel to the same people that had been exposed to Paul earlier. Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, WHO hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? [You foolish Galatians! WHO has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.] It's Paul who is upset and desperately wants to PORTRAY that Jesus Christ was crucified. It was Paul who had PORTRAYED that Jesus Christ was actually crucified. It's Paul who invented and promoted the false Gospel - the fiction called Jesus' Crucifixion. It's Paul who TRICKED people into believing that Jesus actually got Crucified.

Interesting interview though I feel it to be overcomplicating for a number of reasons. 1. The Quran does not deny the occurrence of "a" crucifixion, the Quran says (157) (and their boast, "Behold, we have slain the Christ Jesus, son of Mary, [who claimed to be] an apostle of God!" However, they did not slay him, and neither did they crucify him, but it only seemed to them [as if it had been] so; and, verily, those who hold conflicting views thereon are indeed confused, having no [real] knowledge thereof, and following mere conjecture. For, of a certainty, they did not slay him) 2. In the interpretation of the Quran the prophetic narrations are indispensable. In that respect, it is well documented in the narrations that one of the disciples of Jesus volunteered to be crucified in his stead in return for being with Jesus in paradise. The report also says that the volunteer was amongst the younger disciples. Jesus (as Messiah ' anointed one, King) obviously cannot be crucified as is the traditional understanding of "the Messiah". He is also in Islam one of the five mighty or "strong willed" messenger who cannot be defeated. من أولي العزم من الرسل. The narration reported by Ibn Abbass states: 3. I find it bewildering that your guest (as a Muslim) doesn't believe that Jesus will return. His point was that the Quran doesn't confirm his return. But the Quran does say he was not killed and does say the following: وَإِن مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا لَيُؤْمِنَنَّ بِهِ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ ۖ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا (159) (And there is none of the People of the Book except that they must believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Judgment he will be a witness upon them) This verse has not come to pass for the following reasons a. Jesus has not died and must die eventually a natural death. For this to happen, he must return. b. Not all the people of the book accept Jesus as the Messiah in our times. So this remains to be an outstanding prophesy. c. Here again the prophetic narrations are indispensable in understanding the Quran and the relevant narrations are unequivocal concerning the confirmation of the return of Jesus as a "Just Ruler". The narrations of Sahih Muslim evidently even identify the location of his return being East Damascus. It is also interesting that your guest is trying to add evidence to his logic by stating that Jesus must be more than 2000 years old. This is incorrect in my opinion for the following reasons 1. 2000+ years is earth time and Jesus is not on earth. So this aging doesn't apply. 2.Aging and decomposition is controlled by God as identified in the Quran in several stories. Here is one example from the story believed to be of Allah's prophet Uzayr in some exegesis and what he said when he saw the destruction of Jerusalem: Or like the one who passed by a town and it had tumbled over its roofs. He said: "Oh! How will Allah ever bring it to life after its death?" So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then raised him up (again). He said: "How long did you remain (dead)" He (the man) said: "(Perhaps) I remained (dead) a day or part of a day." He said: "Nay, you have remained (dead) for a hundred years, look at your food and your drink, they show no change; and look at your donkey! And thus We have made of you a sign for the people. Look at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh". When this was clearly shown to him, he said, "I know that Allah is Able to do all things." The fact that the person mentioned in this verse answers Allah saying he lasted (dead) for a day implies he didn't notice any aging for himself when returned to life. The same applies for the people of the cave known to Christians as the "seven sleepers"

@HH-pv9ex great post , and insight about the ablution of Jesus before ascending !! I believe Jesus is coming back (but he maybe alive or matwafa, caused to die and will be be brought back for his second coming ) there is dispute: was he raised alive or after death. As for the Ibn Abas , ra, that is not a hadith, it is a saying attributed to him may or may not be be true that he has said that..and in the case he said that, he may have mentioned what he has heard from some ex Christians (Muslims by then) who had these things in their literature.. not necessarily correct version or not.. on that we don't really know, to me it is plausible what Ibn Abas said,.. but not definite , as this was not an authentic hadith from The prophet.. I enjoyed your comment brother/sister, I also have the idea that any crucified person at dark, and from100 meters (yards) even 60 m would look like Jesus, dark skin (from birth and the sun), mainly thin, dress the same, have beard, long hair, so any crucified person from 60 meter distance with his head lowered to his chest covered by his long hair and beard would look like Jesus (except a female or a fat person) this may explain many thing, Pilate crucified Barabas in his place, another person, etc.. or the Roman when they could not find the ascended Jesus did not want to appear weak, grapped a thin criminal and just crucified him.. and may kept distance between the crucified person and the public, and it was dark, recall gospels said there were no witnesses.. easy to simulate and spread rumor!!

When I first came across Muslim claims that the Gospels had been altered and that Jesus was never really crucified, I initially dismissed them. Then I came across evidence from Christian sources that the Gospels had indeed been altered, and that much of the New Testament epistles were forgeries. I remember a conversation with an extremely devout Christian friend who said that the fact that many Bibles claimed that the story of the woman taken in adultery (John 8) was not found in the best and earliest manuscripts was starting to make her question what she'd been taught about the inerrancy and accuracy of Scripture. I'd long before gone down that rabbit hole and I told her, "If you value your faith as a Christian, you will not notice these things. You will not ask questions. You will accept things as they have been presented to you. Because if you don't and you continue to question and you continue to notice things that don't add up, you may find yourself leaving Christianity." I said this because she had invested so much of herself in her particular version of Christianity and had given up so much, that for her to realize that maybe she'd thrown away her life for nothing would absolutely destroy her. She was not ready to look at the evidence, which is why I told her what I did. Anyway, as I said, I was gently challenged by the Muslims I met to take another look at my religion. I still thought they were wrong, but the more I started looking at the Gospels, the New Testament, the early history of the Church and how the Bible came to be, the more I said to myself, I still don't think they are right, but there's an awful lot they aren't wrong about. I started noticing things that had more or less always bugged me about what actually happened towards the end of Jesus' life. The contradictions you mentioned. Plus there seemed to be a disconnect between the Passion Narrative portion of the Gospel and the earlier parts of Jesus' ministry. If all the disciples ran away at the arrest, then how do we know what happened afterwards? We are taken into meetings and given detailed accounts of who said what to whom. The explanation that the nuns gave is that the Holy Spirit inspired the Gospel writers and told them what to say, so that the Gospels are really a form of revelation. So it didn't matter that they were not eyewitnesses. Well, ok, but I think you know what the next problem with that is. It's a story that falls apart. Up until the point where Jesus and his disciples go out to the garden to pray after the Last Supper, it holds together pretty well, but after that . . . We are told the disciples fell asleep. Then we are told they ran away. So, did the soldiers grab the wrong guy? Was there a supernatural intervention? We don't know. There is so much in the story as told in the Gospels that doesn't add up. It is indeed a mystery.

Jesus having died is a completely false notion, the man who gave this lecture should publicly take back his words, as the Qur'an doesn't state that Jesus died, rather it informs us that they didn't kill him and that he was raised to Allah. Allah said in the Qur'an: And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise. Salam Dr Louai Fatoohi. I am going over your talks and analysis, and liking them quite a bit. Want to narrow it to one point here. I am amazed that you have an astronomy background. I think a lot about general theory of relativity and spacetime. If God has taken up Jesus Christ, it makes more sense that he is not in our time dimension, and so there is no need to think he is currently 2000+ years old, right? Why would that pose as a mental block for him returning? When he comes back, he is just around 33 or so..for him time did not pass, but in our dimension, eons went by. I would assume with an astrophysics background, such analysis will make more sense to you, but I wonder why it did not. Also, it is hard to brush away many mutawatir hadith narration of Jesus Christ coming back, no? Indirect reference of him coming back in the Quran is also noteworthy. What are your thoughts on these?

There is a burial place reserved for Jesus(mpbuh) in the Prophet's mosque in Madeena, next to the burial place of Prophet Muhammad (saw). 2). Holy Quran Verse 19:33 - "So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)". The Verse says; the day I die and the day I shall be raised up to life. It indicates that he will come back to live and die. I hope Dr Fatoohi could explain.

Also John 13 from 18~21 ties the one whom shared the bread to the prophecies of Psalms? mainly the ones where he will substitute the messiah on the scheme of betrayal he devised... The story of two sons of man, one that has his prayers answered, master while the other has his prayers revoked & a treasonous lowly worm!

@Chuck Hillier Thank you very much for the comment. Come let's reason together. God Almighty blessed us with a mind for a purpose 👉 so that we can examine and analyze and reason on the claims and hence differentiate between the truth and falsehood. The Quran explicitly dismisses the Crucifixion of Jesus. The previous scriptures FORETOLD of Jesus being PROTECTED by God Almighty from the w1cked plot of his enem1es to crucify him.

@@louay.fatoohi It is, when you essentially throw out upwards of ten sahih ahadeeth. Some of which are mutawatir. I did read your reply to Omayr. 10 of the 11 points are just stating the need to be allowed to have different opinions. Great. You also need to bring evidence for your opinions. When you can throw out multiple sahih ahadeeth you are in dangerous territory. Why couldn't someone throw out ahadeeth on how to perform salat?? Instead of praying the sunnah way they stand on their head and pray. Yes. It is at least bordering on blasphemously; to do this kind of thing. Not to mention you give the haters of Islam full ammunition to destroy the deen. If I were a hater talking to you I would simply say sooo these ahadeeth aren't true? Yet the chain is sound? Ok. Let see what else isn't true. Then pick apart the entire religion and make you answer for 500 more ahadeeth. The haters of Islam salivate at the thought of throwing out multiple sahih hadeeth. That is the bottom line in the end. If you say Esa عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ is dead and not returning you must by definition throw out many Ahadeeth about his return, about the dajall, and many others. A simple search yields there are around ten. That is a disturbing method. Of course if you have determined that all these sahih ahadeeth are in fact weak; that is a different story. I haven't seen anyone challenge that to this day. But that is the evidence you would have to provide. Not simply saying there should be freedom of opinions. That part is obvious.

Considering the coincidence of the first name being Jesus, and the last name, a patronymic, that could just as well refer to JC, it is possible that the scribe's, still under the Roman thumb, tried to reveal the secret to posterity that crucifixion was not how it seemed.

I think the most likely explanation for the "Wise King" of Mara bar Serapion was the former High Priest Hanan ben Hanan, a leader of the Judean rebels who was murdered by the Idumeans during the Jewish civil war in 68 CE that took place after the Romans were thrown out but before they returned and destroyed the Temple. All of which was contemporary history to the Assyrian observer. The Great Revolt began in 66 CE. Hanan was killed in 68 CE. Jerusalem was sacked in 70 CE. Masada fell in 73 CE. Mara bar Serapion was imprisoned in either 72 or 73 CE. Hanan was actually the person who ordered the death of the leader of the Christian Jews James the Just in 62 CE, which led to so much criticism in Jerusalem the Romans removed him from office and replaced with a new High Priest Yeshua ben Damnai, who in turn was deposed in favor of another Yeshua ben Gamla (also killed by the Idumeans during the civil war). There are a lot of people named Jesus in the accounts of Yosef ben Mattiyahu (Titus Flavius Josephus). James the Just is another possible "Wise King" the link between his death and the instability that eventually led to the destruction of Jerusalem. However, it seems strange for an outsider to call him a king, he had no legal authority, he was a Rabbi, and was put to death by the authorized priests. We would have to assume Mara bar Serapion was very familiar with the internal politics of Christians and their leader Yakov. This is unlikely as Mara bar Serapion was a Stoic from Assyria not a Jew, let alone a Christian. That the Idumeans slaughtered the Judean leadership during the Great Revolt and that the infighting led to their defeat by Rome would be better known to a contemporary in a neighboring nation. Hanan ben Hanan was serving as the chief executive and the senior religious authority of the Judeans during the revolt until his death.

What evidence is there? There are claims; there are legends. Evidence would be a ledger kept by the Romans with a list of the crucified; a mention of the sky going dark for no apparent reason for three hours in some contemporaneous chronicle; a diary entry by Pilate mentioning the episode, etc. Right now, all we have are stories first recorded decades after the events under discussion. Any discussion of the "evidence" is pointless.

The evangelists were fiction writers-not observers or eyewitnesses to the life of Jesus. Each of the four contradicts the other in writing his account of the events of his suffering and crucifixion ....It is clear that these addled legends are lifted from accounts of several crucifixions or based on the words of someone who died twice and did not leave a strong impression of his suffering and death to those present. [It follows that] if these men were unable to be consistent with respect to the way he died, basing [their account] simply on hearsay, then they did.not fare any better with the rest of their story. Crucifixion Baggage 2:34:31 It's got baggage because one's religious leader being crucified was a point of embarrassment, wasn't it? The Roman execution cross back then was far different back then than it is today (the warp and woof, as Jews put it). Back then there were different methods of crucifixion and Seneca Minor lists three of them: 1 hanging upside-down on a pole, 2 impalement, and 3 hanging upright by the wrists (Dialogue 6.20.3 = De Consolatione 20.3). These were not standard, though. The standard method described by Seneca, again, involved elements 2 and 3, plus 1 in reverse direction (Moral Epistles 101.10-14). Typically the cross would be in the stick figure of an aroused and erect male (Priapus, see The Priapeia 87 (Virgil, Catalepton 2a.18)). But the impalement was for a safe depth, often a "small peg," to prevent serious injury, until the legs were broken so that the person would fall uncontrollably and suffer fatal internal injuries - as well as shock and possible asphyxiation. There are three scholars acknowledging this, one grudgingly: Gunnar Samuelsson, John Granger Cook, and David Tombs.

Because we are in an environment where people give a lot of value to academic things, some people use this language not to produce something solid, serious, but as a tool to try to support the unsustainable, to give their doctrine (unsustainable) an air of an academic type. The Texts of Paul are letters sent to a Christian or to an entire church of his time. These people already knew the main lines of the story of Jesus, they are Christians. Paul's Purpose in his letters is to answer questions these churches ask him, to comfort, to exhort.... Paul is not writing to us today. He is not writing to answer our questions today...

The second is ! and this is where the scholar made a very very big mistake so lets see : When he cames to the Death of Jesus pbuh, He clearly said that he personally think there's no second coming of Christ coz the Qur'an said that he was dead I've mentioned above that the Qur'an said once that he's not dead on the tongue of the holly spirit narrating , And the other time in Qur'an on the tongue of Jesus Christ himself when he responded a clear question of Allah himself in this verset "واذ قال الله يا عيسى إبن مريم أأنت قلت للناس اتخذوني وأمي الاهين من دون الله قال سبحانك ما يكون لي أن أقول ما ليس لي بحق ان كنت قلته فقد علمته تعلم ما في نفسي ولا اعلم ما في نفسك إنك أنت علام الغيوب # ماقلت لهم الا ما امرتني به أن اعبدوا الله ربي وربكم وكنت عليهم شهيدا ما دمت فيهم فلما توفيتني كنت أنت الرقيب عليهم وأنت على كل شيئ شهيد " الآيتين 116و 117 من سورة المائدة 116&117 verset from chapter 5 of the Qur'an AL MAEDA .

Jesus having died is a completely false notion, Dr Louay Fatoohi should publicly take back his words, as the Qur'an doesn't state that Jesus died, rather it informs us that they didn't kill him and that he was raised to Allah. Therefore, in the story of the crucifixion of Jesus there is a shout "Eli .. Eli Lama Sabakhtani" on (Matthew 27:46) which is not a personal accent tradition of Jesus-Jesus-Isa As. as the tribe of Judah and Levite Aramaic language during life to say to God Almighty. The tradition of saying Jesus-Jesus-Isa As. according to the Aramaic accent is "Eloi" and "Elahi" in Hebrew becomes "Elohim" not just "Eli" speech.

*We have taken some notes while watching this video. And our Opinion is as under:* 1- Brother Fatoohi has defined Arabic Word of Quran "Ghaib" as unknown history but we think, meaning of word Ghaib in Quran is: those things which are beyond the perception of human beings, and only God knows those events. We read in Quran 2:3 ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ "Who believe in [the existence of] that *which is beyond the reach of human perception,* and are constant in prayer, and spend on others out of what We provide for them as sustenance;" (Asad) ---- Note: Salat never means: Prayers or Rituals 2- In First Gospel, Gospel of Mark of 4th Century, we do not see any hoax of Ascension and Return of Jesus nor any fable of Virgin Birth. If these two stories were REAL; then how could Mark miss these two highly Fanciful tales!! These Fables were Blended in Gospels much later. 3- Quran is the Most Beautiful Book, and Quran fully explains itself by its own Tasreef 6:105, 25:33, 6:114, 18:54. Word RAFA which is used for Jesus in 4:158 is also used in many other verses of Quran and its meaning is TO RAISE. But Question is: What kind of Raise? Raise in Salary, Raise volume of this Video, Raise in Flood level in a River or what? In Quran meaning of RAISE=RAFA is TO RAISE IN HONOR or Spiritual Exaltation; never to raise body of Jesus to any remote part of Sky (God is closer than neck vein 50:16). Verse 3:55 confirms what is given in 32:11 that only after death, soul of person is raised to God. When Quran was in need to show something being raised PHYSICALLY UP; then Quran has not used word RAFA of 4:158 but have used word Yas'ad as we see in 6:125 and 35:10. Beautiful Quran has indeed made CONTRAST of two words RAFA and Yas'ad in same one verse 35:10 where meaning of RAFA is Exalt, and meaning word Yas'ad is to raise up physically. Dr. Louay Fatoohi is an Arab, and he knows well that Mas'ad (Elevator) is used in High rise buildings to raise People from first Story to upper story. Word Mas'ad is in fact another connotation of word Ya'sad which is used in Quran 6:125 and 35:10. We read in famous Book of Sunni sect MUSTADRAK and in other books too that when a Person asked meaning of word RAFA of 4:158 from Imam Abu Hanifa; he told person: Read Quranic verse 35:10. 4- Word WAFAT is used in over 25 verses for natural death. Same word is used in 10:46 for the natural death of Prophet Mohammad, and same word WAFAT is used for the Natural death of Jesus in 5:117 but Who love Fiction, they Tamper translation of verse 5:117. Verse 3:144 also makes VERY CLEAR that all Messengers before Mohammad has been passed away=Died. This means: Jesus is also died NATURALLY at very old age, and dead never return to this world where Russian-Ukrainian war is going on, and Covid has made this planet already, HELL. In verse 5:110, Quran has used word KAHLAN for the last stage of age of Jesus. In Ancient Hadith Literature, word Kahlan of 5:110 is used for that Putrid age when skin of person starts to putrefy. This is age of more than 100 years. It is mentioned in over 25 Famous Books of Sunni sect that Prophet Mohammad said: Jesus died at 120 age. PURE Secular History also shows he died at age 120. Even Book of Church Father Irenaeus (died 202 CE) shows that Jesus lived to the era of Roman Emperor Trajan who died in 117 CE 5- Theory of Substitution was spread by Agnostic Christian groups which was later infused in Hadith Books. In verse 4:157 word Shubbiha means: Resembled. Now, if you are driving countryside, and you see one person lying on foot path, and his bleeding body is not moving; you might think: he is dead. You called Ambulance to inform about that Person. Office of Ambulance asks: is person dead or still alive? You answer: I do not know exactly but he RESEMBLES a DEAD PERSON. But when he was treated in Hospital, Doctor knew that he was in Deep Coma, so he was resuscitated (NOT Resurrected) on 3rd day in City Hospital of New York. Same is the case of Jesus. When Essene (HawaariYoon See Quran 3:52) Joseph of Arimathea told Pilate that it seems, Jesus has died on the Cross; so we need his body. Pilate sent a Roman Soldier to pierce one side of Chest of Jesus with spear to see if really he was dead, but body did not move; however water and blood gushed out which show: heart was still pumping. Because his body did not move due to DEEP DEEP DEEP coma; so in front of Roman Soldier, JESUS' body *resembled (Shubbiha 4:157) a Dead body,* and he handed over body to Essene Joseph of Arimathea, who with Essene's top Doctor, Dr. Nicodemus treated Jesus in a empty Tomb, and Resuscitated him. So Jesus was never Crucified as Noble Quran says in 4:157. Gospel of John and Luke show clearly that after resuscitation, Jesus was very much alive, and meeting disciples and eating with them bread and Fish. We read in Gospel of Thomas that Jesus told his disciples that he is leaving them but he did not disclose to them his destination. Disciples asked: We know you are leaving us but whom should we follow after you? Jesus told them: after me, follow "James the Just" (brother of Jesus). Gospels and Quranic Surah 3 also Confirm that Mary had many Children, and Surah 13 of Quran confirms that Jesus too was married and had Children. James the Just is recorded saying: Jesus was Pathological son of Joseph and Mary. Historical Record shows: later he hid his identity as Yuz Asaf so that Romans should not arrest him again, and moved to Damascus and stayed with his disciple Ananias, then he with mother Mary moved to Nisibis Turkey, then to Persia, then to Taxila Pakistan (see Acta Thomae - Act of Thomas), then to Murree Pakistan, then to Srinagar Kashmir; he preached there lost 10 tribes of Israel ( Kashmiri and Afghanis) and died at age 120, and is buried in RozaBal Grave. We can see even today 2000 years old Grave of Mary (mother of Jesus) on hilltop of Murree (near Islamabad Pakistan). *We read in Matthew: Jesus said: I have been sent to preach lost Sheep of Israel. Even after 2700 years; even today you can match almost all Tribe names of Afghani and Kashmiri with those Tribes which are given in Old Testament. One al-Ahad Hadith which say: Jesus will return, has been rejected by many scholars like Allama Mohammad Iqbal. 1200 years ago, Imam Malik Said "Maat Isa" which mean: Jesus has been died. Many Sunni Scholars has rejected Hoax of Ascension and Return of Jesus. Tabari writes that God told Jesus to immigrate to other countries, so Jesus was roaming from one Country to other country* 6- Suffering: God tests even his true Servants. Prophets of God John the Baptist and Zakria were mudded. So nailing of Jesus on Cross is not a strange and exceptional suffering. 7- Let Dr. Louay Fatoohi realize that Majority is not a benchmark of being Right, Truth can be standing alone
