Out of all the draft picks, I was most excited for Vaki. I heard he was slow.... Blah blah blah. Game speed and 40 speed are different. This kid was pulling away from defenders as a RB. But on defense, he reminds me of Brian Branch. This kid HITS. I love this draft pick the most.

As a Ute fan I’ll just say they do have him on film with clocked speed and he has game/field speed. He was only here for two years supposed to be a junior at safety, which he was learning to play cause he was mostly an offensive player in high school. This just tells me he is a Real Athlete and given time at a solid position with NFL coaching and his mature beyond his age and hungry. I think he gonna be a Dawg or a LION. lol I’m definitely a fan of the Lions head coach cause he is DAWG himself. Good luck to Lions next year.

This might sound weird to say but I feel like the entire NFL got better in this draft with the exception of maybe the Falcons because they created a locker room issue for no reason with that Penix pick. Look at the NFL teams and cross out the ones with no shot at the playoffs to start the season, I feel like that list is much shorter than it usually is.
@dowjones7029 ай бұрын
Maybe, their starters last year weren't NFL caliber and if Cousin's gets hurt, they're back where they started. May as well get the potential future starter now and let him start developing. It's only a problem b/c of the $$ they paid cousins which is the real issue.
@GamingTremor9 ай бұрын
@@dowjones702 yeah it just feels like they had a massive change in mindset and direction just one month after signing a massive contract. Penix will be drawing social security by the time Cousins contract is over.

Back then 70's-80's QB's called their own plays. Dan Fouts w/Air Coryell & Dan Marino were probably the last. Elway, the Snake Stabler, Bradshaw, Staubach, Tarkington, Montana years are had to beat. Steel Curtain, Doomsday Dee, the Fridge and then all the great RBs like Dorsett, Sweetness, Dickerson. Younglings always think their generation is the best, myopic as usual

He won't be playing defense. He is too slow to play safety and too small to play linebacker. He will be used on offense and the main reason he was signed is to replace Kalif Raymond if he isn't resigned in the future. He will have a similar role as Raymond while also providing depth at running back.

The Lions, Sheila Hemp, needs to cut ties with the past, moving forward free and new! Rod Wood is the person that begrudged Calvin Johnson his signing bonus when he retired. Rod Wood is the one that told Martha to hire Quinn and let Quinn fire Caldwell. Rod Wood is the one that had to be removed from team decision making so Sheila could hire Spielman and then Holmes and Campbell. Rod Wood is a used car salesman who lost sleep over the discovery that some people were sometimes able to resale season tickets for a profit and he figured that was money that should be in his pocket. He couldn't even wait for one playoff game before announcing an 80% increase in season tickets charges. Rod Wood is everything bad about the old SOLs that should be gone now. Just sayin'

Not a fan of the pick. There were good WRs, IOL still on the board and they gave up all of those picks for a guy graded to go in the 6th round to FA. Graded as a practice squad player, maybe works up to be a special teams specialist.

Have you not realized at this point that Brad doesn’t care about draft slot predictions and shit? I think it’s pretty obvious he’s a risk taker with the later rounds. This was a draft where we could essentially do whatever we want, so I’m okay with this pick.
