A few months ago I was reading an article written by an archeologist that stated it's possible that either the archeological timeline of the Pharoahs is off by about 200 years or our idea of when the events of the Bible happened is off by the same. We've always thought it was Ramses who was the Pharoah in the Bible, but the article showed that if we moved the timeline to occur about 200 years earlier, the events lined up with those known to happen with an earlier Pharoah. I found that fascinating!

I have greatly appreciated this work- on trying to understand law concepts and aspects of principles of faith, and finding Egyptian cultural forms in the Torah text- but this work unfortunately -despite a sentence on the blurb- does not actually examine the veracity of essential texts- whether the Exodus occured, etc. Whether the plagues occurred, and so on. I had assumed such questions would be addressed. But they are not. This is disappointing. Other things are addressed..not the real issues as to the veracity of the actual history.
