6:00 I don't know why you wouldn't want live pitstops in the dry. Sure it doesn't add or take away from the wheel to wheel action on the track, but this is pit road. I want to see these guys doing their absolute best to blast off and on 5 lugs on each wheel, fueling, jacking up and changing tires on the car. It's very entertaining to me and I'll take as many competitive 5 lug wheel pitstops as I can get.

If you look back years ago Elton Sawyer use to drive a race car. When the teams had to be good and have their Chit together to run good and be competitive and win a race you would know that Elton Sawyer was never in the mix. I guess he wants everyone to have his designs of what he thinks teams should have so he could be competitive in a market like they are promoting today. He is into the equity thing where everyone gets a trophy for competing instead of letting the racers be racers. Period

Texas turned in to a good race for the trucks because of the non competitive pit stops. It gives teams more time to make adjustments and get their race truck where it needs to be.

I agree there’s definitely a lot to learn from this and make adjustments. The idea of running rain tires on a short oval to get the race in quicker is a great idea on paper, but does t work out if ya don’t know wtf you’re doin when putting it into practice, which is exactly what was done. It was obvious from the start they could’ve ran it more wet than that, plus it’s Martinsville. 10 laps around on a more damp race track than what was ran would’ve been just as dry. Hell ya only saw spray for like 2 laps. It does work it’s just NASCAR needs to plan this better if they’re gonna commit to this. Especially since Goodyear has mentioned the made a rain tire for LMP2 cars (cause LMP2 in WEC use Goodyear) that’s capable of lasting during dry conditions.

It seems everyone is NASCAR cries & complains. These people get paid million(s) to talk to driver (who claim to be the best) & they cry & complain as much as these people who sit at this table.
