I don't think the judge stated anything in that case. Usually if you do that and it's noticed once (like it was in game 1) he just gets a warning, but the fact he does it once again in game 3 hasn't been noticed (it is not said in the video). If the judge was called then the judge should sanction him, depending on how bad they think hos actions were (it can go from losing the duel, to being expelled from tournaments for a while)

No the judge can make a ruling but we all know the truth. Just how OJ was found not guilty yet we know he did it. To think just because a judge makes a ruling we all have to ignore reality is quite foolish or gullible to be honest.

So it seems to be deliberate. Multiple attempts at placing the card in the exact column for anima can’t be a coincidence. Especially when it’s a deck that plays anima being voiceless. And the other player was aware of this fact by not playing into them in the first place!

He was cheating both times. His hand gestures tell the entire story. I've known many players who try to cheese wins as much as possible, even though they looked innocent enough. Even went as far as getting arrested for stealing from friends. This guy was eager to grab the cards and deliberate in his placement, not allowing his opponent to place the card themselves when they even reached out to take it back.

@@Oridan1 Technically, he never did, the closest you could reasonably claim to be him cheating was him willing cards to the top of his deck in the final duel, but that's classified in show as more of a technique, regardless of what you might think. Also, if you're thinking of the first season, do remember that Duel Monsters was still a cross between a card game and DnD during duelist kingdom so things just did not behave the way they do in the real life game.

As a judge I’ll take it as a mistake the first time around. I’ll give him a PE-Minor for not placing an established card back in its correct zone. Now the second time that’s when i have to call a Head Judge because now that’s a pattern plus the penalty needs to be upgraded.

I play a vaylantz deck. Card placement is VERY important. I always make sure i explain everything i do, and always make sure to ask my opponent “are you summoning that monster to this space?” Or “are you setting that card there?” Because i need my opponent to also understand i’m not cheating and that everything my deck does revolves around cards moving spaces. This guy though? He was deff cheating. He knew exactly what he was doing and he did it twice. He probably been doing that all tournament.

If he's playing anima, he's going to be highly aware of zones 2 and 4. As soon as a monster is summoned, he's going to be paying attention to whether or not they're in one of those zones. There's no accident here.

When someone's mistakes continually end up in their favor, it is unlikely to be a series of mistakes. The way the cards are placed down are also very deliberate. There are only 12 zones to keep track of for most monsters, 6 of which do not sit in front of extra monster zones. They had 3 spots to choose from that wouldn't advantage them, and they chose one they knew would help.

As a magic player, clearly communicating your board state is a big pet peeve cuz it should be expected. Not doing that when you only have ~11 spaces to worry about is insane. Its one thing if I flash a vorinclex in and you forget certain lands are locked when the stack triggers down. I can call that an accident. Imperm has been in yugioh for idk how long, but I know it's a hand trap that cares about columns, yugioh players have no excuse for not keeping track of that shit
