Back in 2017 2018 KTM-HUSQVARNA was making the lightest ever 450 (220 pounds) with a forgiving frame that everyone was saying was the best bike! Now KTM sxf 450 is about 8-9 pounds heavier much stiffer frame and looses shoot outs from Japanese brands that make their bikes lighter (but not as light as 220 pounds) and aluminium frames that are more flexible! Honda was making the most power (60+) but their engine are maybe 5 ps down because there was so much power that everyone could not handle! So, are we seeing evolution on mx bikes or we just see different packages so the companies and "test" riders have something "new" to sell???

It's not the frame, it's the shock being really stiff and the chain binding. Check to make sure the chain slack isn't binding anywhere by disconnecting the shock and linkage and run it through the travel. 68mm is the updated chain slack for the new KTMs.

Where does it say 68mm? The owners manual for my 2024 300 XCW says 58

Valle says the frame is not for Pro riders. My '24 300SX is stable and turns better than my soon to be gone '22 YZ250F. Oops, got mine with one fork leg using the Ohlins spring cartridge. from Coppersmith Racing.

Do you prefer the 300 sx over the yzf 250? I'm going to buy a new motorcycle, and it will be 1 of these 2
@ottokirk2325 Жыл бұрын
@@JefreyBartholomeus Yup, the 300SX sticks like glue and completely confident. The YZF would in softer conditions pushes into a turn when all I'm doing is beginning to lean and it would knife under in turn towns. Hardpack not so bad, if good traction. I prefer my 200SX with KYB fork over the YZF. 250 is 3/4+ throttle to get the beans. I don't want that wear for eventual top end damage. I get less arm pump on my 300 than my 200! 200 has very early YAT. Good luck, go with the hybrid Coppersmith or Enzo does good air fork I gather.

I like how one guy say the bike hits softly but is torque'y, then one says it is hard hitting. Then one says that he place it third because the other bikes beat it out.... So what is it??? Yet you are all just one tuning away from what you just might want. And if you are any kind of racer or even rider you are building your suspension to suit what you want anyway.

I don’t mind air forks all that much in stock form, however trying to make them work with a 5.2 rear shock spring is impossible. Can’t find a good base

Is the 2024 ktm 450 sxf better than the 2024 kx450?

i remember when ktm was different for having a flexible frame then when went stiffer for like 5 years straight lil

Maybe doesn't need a frame change. Suzuki didn't need one, but it got one anyway in 2018... ...fix what needs fixing.

the air forks are very good

Considering some factory teams use the air fork. It would be safe to say it’s good for everyone
