When my family first got a Wii, before Sonic or Mario or Wii Sports, we played Brave and Tangled games. We would go on to love the Tintin game as well as the licensed LEGO games, often way more than the original video games. It is a really big deal for kids getting into games, and all those Marios and Sonics and Zeldas will be waiting when you grow out of them
@punga61022 жыл бұрын
dude, lego games are genuinly amazing, and definetly way better than the official video games. compare harry potter for example, from the fourth one onward the games suck, and the first three ones arent amazing either and relay on the nostalgia. while lego harry potter is just amazing, more so for a child but it still works for adults, plus the graphics of 5-7 are far better than any harry potter game so far, which is not even a joke

Crushed ice is essential for some drinks. The fact that it melts faster is an asset. Some drinks require large ice, like and old fashioned to prevent it from melting at all and very slowly add water to the drink, but some drinks need to crushed to add water to the drink fast to dilute. Mixology. Water is a part of cocktails. Also surface area of ice directly affects the time it takes to cool down a drink

I have the Up video game; it's pretty cool in all honesty. It has up to 4 players at once, but it depends on whether or not Doug the Dog or Kevin the Bird are onscreen in order for it to work, and the boss fights are kinda jank, but that's what's charming and unique about the game.

Consoles will never go away for one reason: Pricepoint. Parents will look at a gaming PC and a Xbox/PS/Nintendo and say "Why go PC when I can spend half that and get games as well?" PCes will consume more and more of the more avid gaming market, but consoles have their place in being a just easy for parents to understand and afford gaming box for their child.

Rhythm Doctor is an amazing game that's based and inspired by Rhythm Heaven and designed around such amazing tracks and beats to be playable by the blind.
@Gpop1192 жыл бұрын
Rock Band did it well with just having their games and then adding many songs via DLC on top of the list, so you don't have to keep buying different peripherals. What kills rhythm games to be profitable are buying licenses to songs to be included. That's why a lot of modern rhythm games are mostly in-house music. Rock band and Guitar Hero were the huge exceptions that managed to afford so many licenses, which is how it did so well despite the need of peripherals. Rhythm games are an expensive hobby. This doesn't include simulators that rely on piracy and custom fan charts.
@VVheeli2 жыл бұрын
Also with Rock Band/GH specifically, Coney’s take on how extra needed controllers and peripherals isn’t entirely correct. It might hurt widespread appeal, but there are a few franchises where the novelty of a new controller is almost necessary and helps cement a loyal consumer base. Part of it is the fighting game and rhythm game communities, but Flight Simulator community I know has a surprisingly large user base while also going all out with giant amounts of peripheral aids. I know they made entire programs to plug like 4+ keyboards, joysticks, and more into a PC for more authentic experiences while also not overloading the computer. The extra controllers isn’t the issue, it’s that companies most likely wouldn’t be able to handle all the licensing, software, hardware, and aesthetic issues without a massive investment, and no company would be dumb enough to risk that big if a flop.

6:00 the game you're looking for is ultimate frisbee. I know it sounds like a meme but at the top level it's very competitive. Ultimate has all the fun aspects of soccer with field positioning, triangle passes, and deep runs into space while also having a MUCH faster pace of play. At the pro level games usually end at 15-25 points for each team, and there are really exciting plays happening constantly. The sport is growing rapidly and I hope it gets really big in the next 20 years because it is such a fun spectator experience and I think most people would like it if they knew it existed

As a child, video games based on movie licenses aren't what got me into gaming. However, I still have fond memories of the golden age of movie games, when just about every children's movie was made into a game (usually a side-scrolling platformer.) I miss those days! I wouldn’t particularly call FNF shitty. I think the best term to describe it would be “unfinished”, mainly when it comes to the base game. It is disheartening to see the game looked upon so negatively among the public due to the community’s general behavior and the misleading statement that it’s a “kids game”. Drawing your attention away from all that you’d find that there’s a lot of really neat things people have done with the game through modding, many of which that manage to bring people together to celebrate past and present spectacles of internet culture.

I actually think peripheral based games can work in 2022 as long as there is also a way to use the good ol' keyboard or mouse. Games like OSU show us that DDR can be played at a competitive level even without a DDR pad and players who are really invested in them can decide to later pick one up. A better example would probably have been fightsticks and fighting games, but he did say 3 rhythm games.
@TheUnseenFuture2 жыл бұрын

I'm gonna tier list the sports he mentioned 4: Baseball. It's slow and almost nothing happens. 3: Football. It's also slow but at least stuff happens a bit more often. 2. Soccer. I'd honestly put it behind football if it weren't for the fact that there's cooler versions of soccer. Normal soccer has way too big of a field and the games last about 8 days. Instead we should all just move to arena soccer. Tiny, indoor fields that keep things super fast paved. Plus some of them have walls that you can kick the ball of and that just adds an extra layer to the game. 1. Basketball. Easily the most fast paced and exciting of the group. Lots of stuff happening plus the players can be super showy at a lot of points as an added bonus. 0. Hockey. Not listed but probably the best sport. Just as fast (if not faster) than basketball but with the added benefit of the guys slamming each other into walls. Plus a foster fight can just break out at any time with barely any consequences. Hockey is great
