this is the only ball in our lineup with 500 -> Compound -> Polish. With your rotation the finish is just over-pushing. it doesn't need much surface, just a brush up to knock the gloss a little. other reviewers have seen substantial backend motion. cheers.

Did throw the OG. It's a all timer for me. Shot 869 with it in 2004. Already punched the new version up. I'm in love. Getting another and putting 2k on it.

That’s awesome to hear! That’s a HUGE set! My high is 856!

I'd like to see you throw 2 handed with a ball drill for 2 handed. I know not being a staffer would mean you would need to get 2 of the ball but having a thumb hole as a 2 hander is like having a weight hole.
@ChuffdadАй бұрын
Defiantly get two of each ball two review one handed and two handed drilling. Thank we could get the real review on the ball
@ripvanrevsАй бұрын
Weight hole has to be in the right place. Also no thumb pap can be radically different than thumb in. The balls drilled for thumb in give me a very weak 6-7 inch pin to pap when throwing thumb out. Worked great for urethane but terrible for reactive.

@LuisNapoles wow ball just seems to not fit your release...good to know
@novinnovations4026Ай бұрын
7:57 This is a terrible argument for not changing the surface of bowling balls in reviews. Out of box surface is already so inconsistent. Theres no reason other than stubbornness or laziness that you wouldn't want to change the surface in reviews. Especially after saying "i think this ball could really benefit from some surface" Edit: would also be another piece of data for your audience, and would be a start at finding something that differentiates your reviews from all the others.

Louis, there's actually 500 on this ball with a double polished process

As I'm a no thumber I do like seeing no thumb reviews to see a more rev dominant roll.
@joeanderson9267Ай бұрын
Great review... not because of the ball, but explaining why it doesn't match up to your game. The ball would probably be good for a slower speed more revs or probably Sam's Town.

looking good, l have only had 3 columbia balls l really liked, one was the first Urethane in the 80s the Columbia U Dot, then in the 80s the Columbia Cuda and in 2008ish the Momemtum that was a great balls and someone stole off the rack at a tournement l was in. had a great first 3 game round 700, waiting for the second round, came back and the ball was gone..
@SwamprowdyАй бұрын
Actually, you should do more surface changes during reviews. I like other reviewers that show the differences between box and surface changes. .Surface is the main component in ball reaction.. If you tell your viewers you don't match up with this ball, and then tell them a surface change might be positive, but don't attempt the change, you're doing them a disservice. I like Luke Rosdahl's reviews because he talks frequently about surface adjustments.
@Kawboy65Ай бұрын
Don't be so fast to write off a ball because you don't jive with the OOB surface, you might miss out on a real gem. 2000 grit would really wake this ball up.

I have a random question.... What do you do with all these bowling balls that you do not like? Or the ones that you do like but know that you will not use them?

I like the 1 hand videos because I bowl 1 handed but you should bowl 2 handed.

I think Columbia made a really odd choice of finishing process for this ball. 500 Siaair/crown factory compound/crown factory polish clearly doesn't result in the proper reaction on lane. I wonder if the more traditional 500/1000/1500/crown factory compound would yield a better result.

It wont. It will just confuse people, because he will be using a ball drilled for a thumb bowler with a layout for his one-hand ball roll. It will not be anywhere near a proper representation of what the ball is supposed to be or do
