Hey JT! I was in Boot Camp during the summer of 2019. For that last image, the ringed notebook is the type of notebook that recruits were to buy. Chances are that one recruit is taking/reviewing notes in that image. Taking a pen to the Training Guide is a curious move, though. I think that I remember a page where you were allowed to write, such as the page about figuring out how much water you needed to drink in a day, but I have no sure idea anymore.

I remember my division 289 of 2018 got got beat really bad because post hygene our rdc foud that someone dropped a sock in the toilet. Man we all had puddles of sweat in front of is because no one would come fourth for a good 30 minutes

The tables and chairs were there for rdcs only, and sometimes they let us fold our clothes on them instead of the floor. Any other time, if we were sitting in them, it was wise to get up before they noticed or else. It was also only like 4 chairs per table, so even if we were allowed to slack a bit, the majority of us were gonna be on the floor anyway. At least in my division.

Anyone in the USMC here, I have a question. I told my recruiter that I wanted recon and he told me that I had to pass the asvab with a minimum of 31 and get sworn in at meps then join the polee program and get a recon contract there. But I read that you had to be infantry first then qualify for recon. I feel like he's bullshitting me.
