With Milestar MT tires make sure you run them at 40psi on the road. My MT-01 lasted me 38k miles but they have been to hell and back with multiple trips to Moab, Ouray, Red Cone and everything in between. Right now I am running 37" Milestar MT-02s and absolutely love it! The reason why you want to run 40psi on the road is because it helps with the wear. These tires designed to ride on the center of the tire. Many people did a chalk test on the thread and confirmed that the most optimal PSI is 40. I think you will love them. I ran durotracs and KM3s in the past and to me Milestar MT-02 are the best all round tire from snow, to wet rock, sand, moab slick rock. Enjoy them!

Thanks! I have been trying to figure out the best tire pressure.

I second that, they are meant to run in center rib unless you are off road, as it states on milestars website, possibly people don't investigate what they are buying 🤷🤷🤷I run mine at 37 unless I'm running the trails.

My rig has been down a while waiting for money to get saved. Just bought a house so that spending had to be put on hold. Finally about to get back on it. Garage with a lift now will do wonders. I’ve stayed with BFG KM, LM2 and KM3 over the years.

I’ve been running the MT-01 38” Pats for several years on my JK. They’ve been great offroad and onroad. I’ve got 20K on them and still in good shape. Air pressures are definitely key. I run them 36-37psi with a fairly light rig. The Milestars are also considerably lighter than the Nittos.

We have been running 40" on our gladiator. We have about 30k miles on them so far. They are wearing well. We are on the east coast and I am impressed with them so far. I would run them at 40 psi on the road. They seem to like a little higher pressure. We will be in Colorado in a few weeks, so we will see how they do there. Good luck with them, I think you will be happy with your decision to try them..

Thanks for the info. I am at 37 now and will bump it up to 40 to try that

Please follow up with your findings on thread wear. I dumped my MT01's because of how fast they wore down for me on my truck. Last year i went with MT02's because the price continued to be attractive and they said they new compound will last longer. I went with 315/70/17 and got them installed this time in my 18 JKU. I sold the MT02's just a couple of weeks back at 12k miles because they had wore down 6/32 in only 12k miles. Do the calc, 1/32 every 2000 miles. they're 19/32 new. You'll spend more money buying MT02's considering you have to replace them sooner than a Nitto TG or Toyo MT for example. And btw, the Nittos will grab on rocks a lot better than the MT02's. You'll see soon :)

I'm at 34k and change on my M/T-01's and have been very happy with them. I keep them rotated often, and run them at 36-37psi, 38-40 on the highway when pulling our Mission Overland Summit trailer. I'm planning to put on some 02's on this winter so I'm in good shape for the hot weather in Texas next year.

I cant speak to the snow performance, because I long since am done living where I have to deal with snow. However the STT Pro's have thoroughly impressed me for the last 14k miles I have had them. Incredible performance offroad, not that loud on the road, and surprisingly have better grip on road than the KO2'S I had prior. I was debating the MT02 but, as you said, at the time the only real world reviews I could find were all people sponsored by Milestar. Not saying that said people would lie about the performance, but it does make me question the review a bit more. Curious to see how they work for you.

I just noticed the Fox 2.5's behind you, do you have a video going over those shocks? I just had them installed and I'm looking for a good guidelines about settings for pavement and off road

I don't, but I am planning on doing one. I usually set them to about a middle setting for the highway, and turn them all the way down offroad.

When we do organized events, we usually post them to the Colorado Off-Road Trails Facebook group. For our regular weekend runs, we often don't even decide where we are going until the night before. We are going to try to do some smaller runs with our viewers and we will post that to our Patreon page.

The only money that exchanged hands was me paying for the tires. Yes, I got a discount, but they were nowhere near free. I'm not as big as someone like Matt's Offroad Recovery, I don't get paid to use products.

There are too many assumptions. What is the condition of your suspension? How often do you need to check your alignment?
@TrailTraveler
@TrailTraveler Ай бұрын
All of the suspension joints were just rebuilt before we put on the tires. Alignment has never been an issue.
