Taylor Park is gorgeous. We’ve been going out there from Western Kansas for 10 years to ride RZRs but we’ve rode some of it several times and it’s just gotten stagnant. We are buying a Jeep this fall to build up this winter for the mountains. So much easier to drive a Jeep to trails outside of TP than trailering RZRs. So much more of Colorado we want to see and explore but Taylor will be visited again but in the Jeep which in itself will make it different. Fantastic work making these videos!!!! I enjoy your channel. Maybe we’ll meet up on the trails one day. God bless and stay safe

I've been on that trail twice and for a relatively easy trail it is much rougher than the average Colorado trail. I haven't seen Mirror Lake that full though, driving through that water looked crazy.

It was over our 38” tires in one spot. Usually the road is dry there. I believe it’s only a few inches right now

Do they clear this trail? I was there in June and started at st elmo and it was very very rough. Lots of large rocks basically covering the trail compared to what i see in your video. Hit bottom a couple times and got hung up on front diff once. Had to turn around due to snow and then had to drive all over the super rough stuff again.
@TrailTraveler5 ай бұрын
The conditions there change all the time. You can run it twice in the same season and one time it will feel smooth and the next time you think you are destroying your internal organs.

@@TrailTraveler Thats weird. So they dont clear it? I honestly don't see how all the rocks i had to drive over would be moved naturally

I hope there is some sort of bypass for that mud hole, otherwise it is just going to be impossible for a lot of vehicles.
@TrailTraveler5 ай бұрын
I think it has already been fixed since we were there
@brunnie5 ай бұрын
@@TrailTraveler I think you are probably correct and I hope that it is fixed for the long term, not just a short term.
@mikesters35325 ай бұрын
Looks like going left or right of it was an option with flexing part of the suspension into the mud while the other half stayed on the high and dry path. 🤷🏼♂️
@billredding20005 ай бұрын
brunnie: Agree...I wouldn't even try that hole -- why? I already know my Jeep can handle it (if it had to) so I have no interest in engaging those kinds of obstacles. Also good luck getting that mud cleaned-out from the underside...you won't ever get it all. At mark 10:29 they go through deep water -- that will probably wash most of the mud away -- but I'd not even want to do that deep water, either (even though my Jeep can ford water also). ;-) So this trail might be a bit beyond what I like to do off-road: Just enjoy the outdoors at a slow & leisurely pace with nothing to complicate that. I'll stick to the easy ones, like fire service roads and low-moderate rated trails. -- BR

Man, how do you know and trust you aren't going to plunge in the deep end whend doing that? Or do you just know that usually there is a road there and the lake is just over full right now? Looks awesome, but I'd probably have turned around.
