I’m happy with the end result but in reality it wouldn’t be that hard to incorporate. Basically it could be the exact same movie but instead of being called “a quiet place” it would have clover field in the name. I also the point about it getting swept up into some kind of franchise doesn’t make much sense as they’ve now made a sequel.

It was orginally a novel written by Steven King which is why it is not. It also was reflected before the franchise started.

Anything could be a Cloverfield movie at this point, the things that connect them all are Slusho and Tagruato, some times a monster but not always, in Paradox is stated that anything could happen/change in all realities if the Hadron Collider failed so that's why the monster appear in the original film, that's why there's aliens in the second and that was going to be the reason why there were zombies in the forth (that was later released as a stand-alone movie), i feel like it's a little uninspired way to put together a universe, you could simply put a Slusho machine on White Chicks and that's it, it's part of the universe now

Cloverfield and A quiet place are both good movie franchises that don’t make up stupid stuff like what popular horror movies did like Jason, Chucky, Freddy Kruger, and Micheal Myers

@@randomfatalitiesCORP A fourth film is in the works too. I read that it might have a team up with Michelle from “10 Cloverfield Lane” and Ava from “Cloverfield Paradox”. But I also read that the fourth film will be a more true direct sequel to the first one. So that means we might see the monster again and maybe even Rob. In other stuff of the franchise, it revealed that Rob survived, so that means Beth did too. Even for the original ending of the movie, Rob was supposed to survive. If the next film really is a crossover then I hope we will see Rob, Beth, Lily, Michelle, Ava, and Schmidt all together and team up.

AQP would have made a much better addition to the Cloververse than the other two pieces of garbage. Personally though, I think the first Cloverfield was a masterpiece of a movie in its own right and probably shouldn't have had any sequels since it removes the original element of mystery as to Clover's origins and whether it was defeated in the end.

yea cloverfield is one of my faves but it really does seem like a sort of infectious tumor, taking hold of original movies/scripts & changing them completely. all the while, not making a proper sequel
