That the voice actors in the show had an unconventional way of rehearsing for their roles? Bojack Horseman broke many longstanding traditions in the animated television genre. For one, its style of humor was brash and metaphysical, with many of its quick-witted lines becoming famous the world over. Another way Bojack broke tradition was in its rehearsals. Actors in the show were required to get together for ‘table reads’ and although each character’s voice was recorded independently, the show’s creators believed that communication between the actors before recording their voices would lend the show a more realistic feel.
