I thought it was interesting how truly dark it was that the witch sent her away naked. She left her dangerously vulnerable, shes so naive she is 16 and a mermaid who doesn't have any idea about the perversions of man. I liked in the live action movie they kinda alluded to the fact that ariel was blessed to be surrounded by kindhearted people from Eric's kingdom, otherwise... that fisherman that found her in the middle of the ocean could have done anything and no one would ever even know she existed! Ariel being sent out naked and so naive was the scariest part to me that the sea witch Ursulas intentions were acc so fucked up like she was hoping for it to be more convenient for her and she would die on the way to the surface or before even getting to shore and it should have been very likely too if not for the Disney magic 😅 realistically the witch would have been pretty on point, I can't imagine any sort of Buccaneers from back in the day, alone or in a crew, would help a stranded beautiful young girl from the kindness of his heart. Gee I wonder why? 🤔 (Or at least it was as of about 5 to 10 years ago, not sure if that changed since then) Sad, grew up on Disney, until I discovered and learned more about these things.
