Mustafinho I’m sorry the prem is so much more competitive than la liga... anyone can beat anyone or get a result against them... as we saw with Newcastle V United , or Brighton V tottenham. You rarely see Barca or real lose to bottom of the league . Also, the top 3 in la liga is similar every year, whereas in the prem ( other than city in past 2 years) it could be many different teams... la liga we all know it’ll be real or Barca. And occasionally athletico. When was the last time la liga had a team like Leicester win the league ?

Den we arsenal fans received the same message from our board about emery, the difference is that emery wasn't a club legend before managing us... so we view that backing differently. It's feels more like they don't know who should replace emery (or the guy they want isn't available till the summer), rather than believing emery is the man for the job. If united's board believe Ole is the right man for the job (truthfully, and not just publicly stating it), then I'm worried for you lot.

Hard to say. There are theories which suggest the Arsenal board are hoping for another run in the Europa League, to try and win it and get back into the Champions League via that route. Maybe if they go on a losing run over Christmas things could change, though.

There are two good examples in the Premier League with Eddie Howe and Sean Dyche, both of whom have been at their clubs for over seven years.

I think he understood his limitations. That stint is a gamble that failed. It is easy for anyone to criticise the manager, point out bad tactics, and come up with suggestions. But try to make the players believe in those tactics and took all the blame is a different matter. Henry and Gattuso had several stints and even they found themselves helpless. It is up to the players and he can' t control that.
