This goes all the way back to John Adams defending the British soldiers who were accused of murdering Americans during the Boston Massacre. ZEALOUS Advocacy, so not just a half-hearted attempt… that’s the oath and ethical code defense attorneys stand for, providing a zealous defense.

Here's my neural-divergent issue with the way people talk about time. When you say "pushed back", it doesn't make sense to me that means to later months. Time goes forward in its natural state, not backwards. September is ahead of June, not behind. "Back" means "backwards" and in time that would be to make it earlier in my mind. But because I know most say time like this, I always have to clarify they mean later and not earlier. Just a thought.

Agree. I always have to ask to make certain everyone is on the same page But, pushing anything makes it move away (vs pulling). So if you push back, relative from yourself, the item moves forward, relative to yourself Pretend you're (0,0) on the XY axis of a graph. If you push something at x=2 away from you, it will move forward in time

I've been out of the loop for a bit, so I'm not sure if EDB has covered the whole MrBeast filming the next leg of the competition in Toronto. It was covered right around the 24th of August by CBC and at least a handful of other Canadian channels. CBC got word direct from Toronto City Hall that they were filming there. There was also a mention in the CBC article of them not working with IATSE, the union that represents international TV & film crews. It's just wild with all of his other stuff popping off that I'm not seeing anything about his even shadier behavior, though I guess with the Diddy stuff et al, it kind of makes sense.

omg you're a challenge fan? i had no idea. that's my favorite tv show. the closest thing I can think of in terms of Challengers banding together for better treatment is before the filming of Rivals 1. Cast felt their pay structure was unfair. Cast member Evelyn figured out the theme of the season ahead of time based on the cast. It was going to be 12 pairs of people who were 'rivals'. Knowing the social climate of the game, she correctly guessed all pairings. From there, she got at least one person from every pair to agree to boycott the game if Bunim-Murray productions didn't alter the compensation package to be more fair to the players. Staring down the barrel of realizing if they didn't work with the players, they weren't going to have a season at all, they agreed to change the pay structure. It's been better for Challengers ever since. But it wasn't anything that ever went to court. It is worth noting that, while I don't think she was at the time, Evelyn works as a lawyer now. She's one smart cookie. And imo the best woman to ever play the game. :)

So, here's the challenge to the Beast suit. If the Californians worked in Nevada, then they would follow the Nevada labor laws, not California labor laws, unless otherwise promised by the company or union. The hours the litigants presented in the suit were CA labor laws for sure. They are not the same as NV labor laws. So, unless Mr. Beast's company promised something different, they shouldn't win the suit. Hopefully, they did get paid according to the NV labor laws or they may have a suit for that.

The BK case is a mess. Moving the trial out of the county is too little too late. They found 98% of respondants knew of the case, and 2/3 believe him guilty. Those will be the same numbers across the state.Those will be the same numbers across the entire country. The new judge really shouldn't be praised, he seems to already have a conclusion in mind, and sent to clean up a state embarrassment.
