The murder charges let Lally sneak in bad character evidence and testimony under the guise of motive. The judge isn't stupid. She knew from the beginning why Karen Read was charged with murder. I PHYSICALLY CLAPPED when you said that the governor brought in someone out of state to over see the state police in Massachusetts. I've been (half) joking that they need to just throw out all the cops in the state and start over to be safe. Bringing someone in like this, I hope, helps immensely in what is clearly a big big problem.

Or he too will eventually become corrupt as well (unfortunately); and / or unable to make the clearly necessary changes, depending on just how HIGH this goes???? If 90% of a home and its (inhabitants) is spoiled; you live within that home, and need to somehow work within that deep corruption…. Who do you trust? How much Authority or Power will you be given, Who is NOT corrupt yet, and/or is someone you can effectuate change with? Where it goes this high???? I think we have a clear & transparent conflict of interest, with the IA Investigation Process. You should never be audited by your peers, who have a direct vested bias and interest in your innocence; for YOU are representing them all LE yourself? So fix the IA Process, create a new one? Who knows! B/C the status quo isn’t working? Hopefully there is some progress with this new outsider that they brought in, We need it! I think they should move this entire case out of Norfolk. From start to finish with this area. Other than keeping counsel, start it in a new court. And for God sakes, make sure the Jury understands what the Frick to do whilest reaching a verdict and how to fill out everything. And perhaps give Counsel more time to accomplish that. It felt rushed after sitting there for how long with 72? witnesses. Come on an extra 15 minutes for closing arguements would not have hurt anyone after sitting there forever and a day anyway. This whole case just feels like there is something underlying with it and irs not a good feeling. What the heck is going on there?

I’m not a lawyer, but given how extreme a remedy Dismissal with Prejudice is, I imagine that there would have to be astronomically extraordinary circumstances to justify asking the judge to reconsider it. Unless those 52 pages contained evidence of serious misconduct on the judge’s part, she was never going to reconsider her judgement. The state messed up. They dismissed potential evidence as irrelevant without examining it properly and then failed to disclose that it existed. Maybe it would have turned out to be irrelevant, but that doesn’t matter because the state didn’t check and they didn’t tell the defendant in order for them to be able to check. The point then is not the relevance of the evidence, but the fact that there was no opportunity by the defendant to test the relevance of it. I don’t think Morrissey understands that.

How in God's good name does someone "MISS" over 30K messages? I smell massive BS I honestly don't think that Karen needs to testify. The evidence is strong enough on its own. But, I think if she did she would be more confident in doing so this time around. I hope she doesn't feel forced to testify

Em, I only made it through 10 min of the 20/20 until I heard what you had to say, and just watched the remainder. I think KR would be super on direct and just as catastrophic on cross, especially how easily she becomes irate. Vinnie had a good point about how she shows everything on her face.

I do not know how on earth they are going to be able to retry Karen Read with the horrible policing that has surfaced. Also, watching 20/20 after having watched the entire trial, I was terribly disappointed. They left out most of the police stuff!!

Also how are they going to find 12 NON-BIASED jurors…the entire planet watched that CORRUPT farce of a trial! So abhorrent.
