being strong enough to defeat a monster thats basically the ten times better version of a human at 20 is insane.

Talk no jutsu? HA! Tanjiro soul was so pure that the dude that saw it flipped sides with out a single exchange of words! The goodest boy to ever.

I mean yeah but if most of the protagonists saw Naruto's soul outright they'd have about turned just as fast. Naruto and Tanjiro are both the goodest boys.

A little bit of interesting info about Rengoku: Actually, he's saying umai(delicious) after every bite, because there is a tradition for samurai to eat every meal and bite, like their last, because any can become their last one. A little bit sad considering what happened to Rengoku, but.. Knowing that makes you think about him differently, when watching him say those words

Love Inosuke. He was fun and not annoying enough to make me dislike him. He is actually also very realiable woth his breathong focusing on animal senses and feeling. He used it in the spider forest arc and used it to locate the neck of the train.

38:12 I think it's mentioned at the end of Season 1, but it's one of the many narrative things that just gets removed Idk why they didn't have the 3rd person narrator stay (the one's that aren't removed outright are given to characters to explain. Like Enmu explaining the spirit core//layers thing was a 3rd person omniscient thing originally I really should catch up

tbh its so funny to me to see someone else obsess over the "tanjiro, get the blood tanjiro" thing the same way I did. Its wild how long it takes for him to get some. I get why, he's like dying at the end of the fights half the time but also GET THE BLOOD TANJIRO OMG

A comparison that just jumped to mind you might appreciate: Upper 3 vs Rengoku is kind of like watching a mihawk vs anouther mihawk. It is here to let us know how far our boys still have to go and how powerful the big bads really are

The anime decided not to have a narrator in the same way the manga did, so some smaller aspects are never explained 1) in chapter 56, when the girl tries to stab Rengoku's core - it's explained in the manga that the girl did not give off a thirst for blood, but Rengoku stopped her from destroying the core because he would be *unable to fight* (emphasis from the manga) - a note from the manga that I thought was important is that neither can move because the girl is suffering physical distress and rengoku has no reason to kill a human, so they are in a stalemate (which is why he's late in showing up) 2) in chapter 58, the manga narrator/author confirms Tanjiro's instinct not to cut the rope, if you cut the rope with a nichirin blade, those who aren't dreaming will never regain consciousness for eternity, enmu didn't give a full explanation about that risk because humans are disposable to him/he only saw them as food in the first place

i love this movie so much, the dream sequences are really interesting and touching especially for tanjiro and rengoku and then the battle starts and it just keeps ramping up from there, tanjiro cutting his head again and again to wake up is one the most impressive/badass things ive seen a mc pull in an anime, inosuke was more involved than i expected and his teamwork was great to see andddd akaza shows up, i was already satisfied with the first fight but getting a upper moon vs hashira was the cherry on top, all the twists and turns of the fight were great not to mention the insane animation and soundtrack... tanjiro yelling at akaza and rengokus finale moments hit like a truck and hey you might have missed this one in theatres but the last arc of demon slayer will be a movie trilogy so you have that to look forward to ( and from what ive heard its the best arc in demon slayer so it will be a treat im sure)

Movie slayed it. Keep in mind this was the movie to beat when it came out in the East. Not some action hero Hollywood block buster... this movie that intentionally ends with the hero losing and the naked question of now what. Not standard in the least. I watched a shit quality at the theatre recording with asian subtitles that were handled poorly; and still loved the movie... that's how insane it was as a good movie. Now we will be getting 3 more in a row each tackling one of 3 major fights that leads into the final conflict... one of which that might be one of the top 3 upper moon in one half of the movie and the final conflict in the other half if they actually want to end the anime in movies not weekly form. To say I am hyped for them is a gross understatement. I only wish they do not cheese the ending in an attempt to stuff so much into 3 movies. The Muzan Jackson conflict that ends the story and its resolution chapters is peak manga for me. So I really hope its not condensed to 1 1/2 hours or 2 hours of a movie double that length... Regardless This movie has my expectations for the next few to be somewhere in Venuses atmosphere its so far blown out of proportion.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that the primary characters are all just kids (I *think* the boys are 16 at the oldest), but then you have the heightened emotions of them losing someone they look up to and it really hits. Even Zenitsu’s simping is very immature and nonsexual in the way unlike older characters might be written. His understanding of love isn’t that different from what a lot of young men’s would be

Assuming you enjoyed the movie you might enjoy other anime movies like the Studio Ghibli series (Basically Japanese Disney Movies). Idk if you are familiar with them already, although you could also watch them with the misses since they're basically Disney movies.

1:03:00 I think one of the reasons for this was the focus instead being on the humans being more demonic by playing a roll in lower 1's plan. Sort of exploring the desperation and victimization caused by demons from a different angle, all fundamentally driven by very human wants/desires.

Also that's blasphemy over not liking Zenitsu. Utter Blasphemy. Also the reason why he keeps saying "Umai" is because Samurai were taught to savor every bite of their meals because they could be the very last one they take.
@keithredacted81546 күн бұрын
I love Zenitsu but it is NOT utter blasphemy to not like him. It is actually completely understandable to not like him for many number of reasons. To him being sadly annoying and cringey to watch with him and girls, wasting episode time for his overdrawn freak outs and him being the coolest only when he is asleep so people think he is not getting development. A lot of people feel this and I can see why and it rubs me the wrong way whenever fans hate on people for having such a valid opinion and criticism.

Tbh i would cry for rengoku even after meeting him and knowing him for 6 hours 😂 you can only respect the guy, he is strong and has insane perseverance, tenacity and determination. He deeply cares for other people and as a hashira will do anything to save people. Even in the brink of death he wont think selflessly and take the deal to become a demon, and on top he encourages and doesnt mock those weaker than him even willing to train them. I need a rengoku in my life 😭😭

The Id. The Ego. Are you really ready to meet your true self? Certainly not the guys inside Inouske and Zenitsu's dreams.⚔️😱✂️ To quote Captain Mal Reynolds: " Are you ready to meet the real me! "💀💀💀 🔥SET🔥 🔥YOUR🔥 🔥SOUL🔥 🔥ABLAZE🔥 Also, FYI, From this point on Demon slayer does not do "seasons" ... It has switched fully into the "Story Arc" marketing and distribution mode that no other show uses. 🫡 Entertainment District Arc Swordsmith Village Arc Hashira Training Arc Infinity Castle Arc (3x movies)

I love that you can appreciate the deeper themes of Demon Slayer with regards to empathy, most just look at it on the surface level and think it's carried by animation and think Tanjiro is just good for the sake of being good and not the fact that HIS SISTER IS A DEMON so him empathizing with demons is rooted in that, they don't appreciate the subtlety in its storytelling
