The proper pronunciation is closer to "dee anfwort" It's Afrikaans for "The Answer" Also "Black Face" is a specific thing, so skin blacking/coloring for a performance is a touchy thing in the US mostly.

Honestly from my personal experience South African's were genuinely perplexed over why back gave was still an issue. I'm a comedy and music obsessed introvert with a massive library going back to ues of both from all over the globe. It was more like if so damn many cultures did it and it was honestly funny and something olso many of us learned how to laugh at but still could embrace our neighbors then why still be angry. Own the hatred with laughter, remender their ignorance mute with facts, humor, and timing. It's truly amazing what is considered banned comedy.
