We were nervous about choosing such an iconic Christmas movie and possibly not enjoying it, but wow, it was an absolute blast! Alan Rickman delivered an unforgettable performance as the villain, and the action-packed sequences led by Bruce Willis kept us on the edge of our seats. I was 17 when Die Hard came out. It is a personal favorite of mine and a true classic. I watch this every Christmas Eve; it is not Christmas Eve until Hans Gruber falls off the Nakatomi Building. Bruce Willis was great as John and Alan Rickman(may he rest in peace) was iconic as Hans. A younger generation than mine knows him as Snape in the Harry Potter films, but he will always be Hans Gruber for me. Another great movie where he played an amazing villain was 1990's Quigley Down Under. Another amazing film with Bruce Willis is Tears of the Sun. Merry Christmas from Concord, New Hampshire.

You know, that's a good point. Him killing the henchmen up to that point was purely defensive. Tony knew he was there and could have cornered him or told all the others where he went if John had tried to run. And Heinrich and Marco had him cornered in a conference room. John was hiding in a quiet place on an empty floor when the SWAT team attempted entry. Al told him to stay there and John listened. Until the officers started getting hurt. After that, John knew he was their best shot.

This was Alan Rickman's first movie. He was cast almost immediately after moving to L.A. He was a stage actor up until then. Definitely a Christmas movie. Besides all the Christmas decorations, music and it being Christmas Eve; it took a whole lot of miracles that only 3 people in the building other than the bad guys lost their lives. No one could see Bruce Willis as an action hero when he was first cast because he'd only done romcoms and a comedy/private detective show on tv before Die Hard. In the end he surprised everyone and changed our perception of action heroes forever.

Great reaction ❤️. And I don't care what anyone says. It's not a traditional Christmas movie but a Christmas movie all the same. People that say it was lazy writing are all wrong. There isn't any other time of the year that a large building like this would be at minimum staff and any other time of the year, this heist would have been impossible. Not to mention it is Christmas eve, they are at a Christmas party and play Christmas music and John and Al get redemption.

1. Karl/Alexander Godunov😇 also played in "The Money Pit" with Tom Hanks and "Witness" with non-Indiana/Solo Harrison Ford. He had a very interesting story. 2. Robinson/Paul Gleason😇 seems to always play buttheads. I.e. "Trading Places" and "The Breakfast Club". 3. Another fun Willis movie that have similar events is "The Last Boy Scout". They drop more F-bombs that you can shake a stick at. Including a little girl. 4. He better have a place to crash.😍😍 5. The dead body that fell was full of bullets Dumbass😏🤬 6. YES, a Christmas movie. It takes place at a Christmas party. For those who say it could have taken place anywhere. It didn't. 7. Missing you Bruce.😰
