Nah, this game sucked in every way possible. Back in the day I would try to play the first game but it was boring. I didn't try the 2nd because it was almost impossible. The third I played the most and it was hard af because the graphics were so back and the controls were awful. I wanted to love this game because I'm a huge Die Hard fan but it sucked.

Funniest thing is Fox only wanted Probe to make the Die Hard with a Vengence part as the whole game, Probe had to fight them to add the other segments as they felt it was too limited and would get terrible reviews. Die Hard 1 was the final mode they made too. There's also a Die Hard Trilogy 2 on PS1 set in Las Vegas, plays the same beats as the original, bu made by a totally seperate developer.

Absolutely loved this on my Saturn, rented it from blockbuster about 20 times before i bought it myself. Funny thing is, 16yr old me never noticed any of it's glaring faults and crappy graphics - just loved the gameplay, which is how it should be. Still not played the sequel on ps1.....

Yeah it was definitely a very different time in gaming back then. Blood and gore was totally fine but apparently swearing was a big No-No still which is ridiculous for an M rated game. Then again look at the first Max Payne game.

You know, I never made the connection between Alien Trilogy and Die Hard Trilogy, I assume because of the fact that each game follows an entirely different format. That said, it's an interesting idea. It actually kind of got me thinking about which movie trilogies I'd like to see video games based on.

Really good comparison! Having recently gotten back into the PS version - determined to complete the 1st game. Also always remember the mirror view bottom right when you are being targeted is better on PS - no reflection on Saturn

It was one of the first games I ever played on PS1, and it was absolutely amazing. Still has some magic in it, like, it was what many modern games turned into, but 20 some years back - now we have those open map cities and office space fights in many many games, and game mechanics is still mostly similar.

They actually stopped making games in 2002. Fox interactive sold there assets to viendi universal who then became Activision. It's because of that reason why a lot of fox interactive games are in limbo

What a near coincidence. I played a kiosk of DHT (maybe for the Saturn), but I thought it was at a BestBuy. It was impressive in its size and the ability to use a light gun. It was a very special kiosk for sure.

I completely forgot about this game yet I really liked it on Saturn. The car section is great and perhaps worth the price alone. The first game was very limited but I think I had fun with it, it was a fresh idea to me at the time though technically it's kind of poor. And yeah, the light gun section is a disaster. I'm not sure it would have been good even if it ran properly, the way the camera moves around is very unrefined compared to Virtua Cop.

A 2nd person shooter would be a game where you play as the person who gets shot by the main character. Kind of a weird concept. I like the 3rd person shooter concept, it has a certain feel to it like GTA 3

I remember wen I was about 16 and I was in my first job after leaving school I was on the 6am till 2pm shift and the one night I sat up all night playing this game on the playstation I was dead the next day and past out as soon as I got in did that alot wen I was younger I still do play video games all night but not wen I've got work it's too much I'd end up calling in sick

Had a lot of fun with Die Hard Trilogy on the ps1 back in the day. I remember you could get the car physics in the 3rd game to go absolutely bonkers in the more open areas, turning it into a high velocity, drifting, civilian mowing, death machine. Good times.

1995 or 1996. I did not know anything about Playstation or Saturn.Very first game I saw running on polygon was NBA in Zone at UL Lafayette. Ridge racer was that game that taught me how to drive. There was an old man and he 'd passed,bless his soul.I've never driven a car before. I said ok,this would be ridge racer.

I was 10 when I got my Saturn and had to beg my older sister (RIP) to go into EB and buy it for me as it was an 18 rated game if I remember correctly…Always had a blast playing this and loved nothing more than watching the movies than playing the game. Things were so much simpler back then.

I work with a guy who just bought 15 (fifteen) Saturns. He's replacing all capacitors, adding an optical disc emulator to each unit and de-yellowing the cases, then plans on selling most of them. It's cool knowing people are working to keep these older systems alive!

I still have this and Die Hard Trilogy 2. I still enjoy it to this day and like Alien Trilogy I was very surprised that Probe turned in another solid outing. Die Hard Trilogy 2, developed by n-Space (Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, 007 Bloodstone, Geist) wasn't as well received but overall I thought it was OK. It's basically the same type of gameplay with the 3 different genre's but instead of it being a trilogy of films it's just one all new overarching story with McLane going to Vegas and taking on terrorists. Another solid video Sega Lord 👍

My younger brother and I would play Die Hard Trilogy, Die Hard Arcade, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Area 51, Virtua Fighter 2, Virtua Cop and Daytona USA everyday after school, back in 1996 and 1997. All on our SEGA Saturn. Good memories.

I used to put in the cheat code to remove the timer in die hard 3 and just explore the streets like an open world driving game and I loved it. Driver came out a few years later and was everything I wanted at the time.

This is one of my fav ps1 games I played back in the day. the codes in the 1st movie cracked me up. Was able to make enemies float up when they die and slow down the voice acting.

On the plus side, the Die Harder section does have a hidden debug mode that lets you create your own scenarios. Me and my mate had hours and hours of fun messing with that.

It was a fantastic game! It is a fantastic game. You get 3 great games, which are wastly different to each other for the price of one! And back in the days, where lightguns were working part 2 with a namco lightgun was just pure joy. And even the music was great, alone in the select screen!

Great video. I owned this on the ps1 and really enjoyed it. I dont remember any way to save stage progress on that version but maybe that was changed for the saturn. Theres a DHT 2 as well that I didnt put alot of time into. Might be worth checking out.
