This is a 1:32 scale made by JADA toys, they are pretty cheap and found at Walmart. Cool to custom though. I wanted to try out some Vegas Rat Rod style painting before we tackle that big skip truck, I have plans for it...... Already a few people don't like the clear coat.. I wanted a Vegas Rat Rod style truck.. see pic -> welderup.com/pages/wagon-rod

could you put a tiny amount of stripper around the wheel arches to make it blister up, then seal it with clear coat to look like the body is rusting away?

Looks really good! I like the clear coat the way you did it. You seemed so bummed about the comments in the 2nd video I had to come back and read some. My opinion (worthless) is you're the artist on a world wide stage... not gonna please everyone. You're very talented and I'm enjoying binge watching your videos. Before you clear coated could you have lightly sanded your decals to weather them as well? Looks great either way. I do agree that a satin clear would have given it the spray painted in the garage/ shop truck look more so than high gloss. Nice job weathering.

Dude, the truck looks amazing! I kind of want to do something like that myself now, but maybe do a door and a fender in a different paint color to make it look like parts were replaced at some point, but rust them a little less and in different degrees to make it seem like the parts were replaced at different times in the vehicles life.

You can buy it in the colours premade , used some of it on my car for an area I re welded in

Check out turn it rust. He has some sweet rusting techniques. He uses iron oxide mixed in a thinned black paint and then sprays on a activator to start the rust process without rusting the car. I think he shows this process on the 62 Chevy fireball video and also the panel van videos.
