It's hard not to think of the Chitauri invasion from The Avengers when you watch the alien invasion from this episode. In the movie, there are plenty of ruined buildings, but when it comes to lives lost, it's all very clean and bloodless and the only ones we see die are faceless, nameless aliens. In this episode, we see how bad the loss of human life would realistically be if there was a sudden invasion by a more technologically advanced species in the middle of a metropolitan city

The Washington D.C invasion in Dark Of The Moon is more like it, those tanks looked like Megatron's Revenge Of The Fallen vehicle mode, plus we see a lot of death and destruction in the Chicago invasion as well

It's crazy how so many people interpret that part as Nolan basically destroying their civilization in seconds, when in fact it's an abridged version of the really long time he spent there, fucking everything up, until they eventually opened up a portal for him to go away.

I don't know why it took me this long, but i finally figured out why Omni-man was so put out when Mark told him about his powers. Omni-man was actually truly happy there, but once his son powered up, he knew what he had to do, and it could change everything he holds dear. But he knew it was time to get back on track. That's all I'm saying, no spoilers that aren't obvious.

Yes. His main mission was to father a child and make sure that Viltrumite's powers can be inherited by humans. Then start gradually preparing earth for assimilation into VIltrum empire so that humans then can be used as a breeding stock for future Viltrumites.

Yes, Omni-man found this idyllic perfect planet where everybody looked like a Viltriumite but just weaker. Plenty of food and space, it's basically a vacation planet. Fun Fact: Robot's voice actor is Zachary Quinto. Aslo known for being Spock and Syler in the 2006 TV Show Heroes. Which by the way, i would LOVE to see you two do reactions to. Heroes was what I believe to be one of the best character driven shows about superheroes. It focuses on the characters rather than have just flashy CHI and explosions. Another think people don't comment on much. Robot scanned that wristband to determine its resonant frequency. If something manages to match an object's resonant frequency, it can overcome the object's structural integrity, as any kind of vibration/shaking/oscillation in the object continues to get stronger. This has caused bridges to collapse under certain conditions, and is also what causes glass to shatter when exposed to certain frequencies of sound. Robot managed to determine the exact frequency of sound that he would need to make to match the resonant frequency of the wristbands, causing all of them to break.
