Truthfully, even if I have a good amount of compost, and I don’t have 10,000 acres, it still takes a lot of compost just to make beds and maintain them. Compost tea also seems far easier to spread than straight compost in place. Also there’s no risk of sticks and other debris (which Is a pain to strain out) shading out the grass or whatever.

Im so confused about the whole anaerobic and aerobic thing…why do we care if its not aerated. I mean once the tea is put in the soil it becomes anaerobic anyways. Does it mean all the aerobic bacteria you just cultivated from a pump dies? I heard from some comment that its the same for feeding the bacteria with molasses. It seems like were cultivating bacteria with foods not normally is seen in soil. So if they run out of food(molasses) in the soil do they just die out? Is compost tea even helpful if theres already microbes in the soil? I heard also heard its only good for poor soil.

What is your opinion on jadam Korean farming plant juice. He has you use leaf mold along with other plant matter like grass or weeds?
@B01
@B01 Жыл бұрын
she speaks of anaerobic being bad because 95% of the disease causers are anaerobic. but she does say it's not always bad, and needs to be used with a much, much higher level of caution than most realize. I forget which video exactly that she said it, or I'd link it. Spoke about it because of being asked about KNF/JADAM since they're both anaerobic focused

Do I use this compost Tea full strength, If I make 5 gallons at a time.
@DV-ol7vt
@DV-ol7vt 5 ай бұрын
It would be ok, but it depends on the strength of mixture. There is not a to much mixture. I mix about 5 to 6 cups worm poop to 5 gal brew and run through drip irrigation. If I didn’t use a drip irrigation then I would dilute this at a 1gal tea to 10 gal water solution. Example 5 gal tea can make 50 to 55 gallons, I would then use a sump pump to pull from 55 gallon barrels to water plants. If using compost I would use about the same amount. Adding molasses increases bacteria and adding fish emulsion, kelp increase fungi. There are many other things to add but increasing fungal activity is great. It’s always a benefit to put organic matter into the soil but you really don’t know what you actually need or got until you put it under a microscope.

That air pump shown was massive. Can anybody tell me the type of air pump to work with a 5 gallon bucket. It must be able to be cleaned. It must not damage the life in the brew. Yes, real life experience is very good. If someone has been doing good practices for years, their land has great biology. I think these researchers are for 1) proving scientifically that common rural practices work, are not backwards or inefficient, on the contrary and 2) even on degraded landscape, one can bring back hiology pretty fast through compodt, and multiply it with compost tea many fold.
@B01
@B01 Жыл бұрын
Farming complicated? It takes 21 days to make biologically complete thermo compost...takes 1-3 days for tea to brew and you use a gallon per acre... With compost and compost tea you can end up not needing a single other item to use on a farm. That is quite frankly the simplest, easiest and most successful method of farming on the planet. Due to focusing on the biology, the correct ratio of microbes, they pull the required nutrients for us. We don't need to apply gross smelling manures from methane factory cows, or other various products. Just one product, sustainable and regenerative: good ol compost. that's it! Only learning the microscopy aspect is challenging, but once you do everything else is ez pz.
