The crisp neatness to the wiring loom became my template for my computer server, workstation and laptop assignment at my new desk build. Very nice work at the electrical and vent detail. Seemed vital at the stormy weather shown as bands of rain. And, I hope of enjoyment in the new year. Regards.. M.

Hi Teal, I love the work you have done on your boat! It’s beautiful! Something you may want to consider, your heater exhaust should pass through the combustible wall with a B-vent thimble. That will provide the proper clearance and provide an air gap from the combustible wall. The fiberglass you packed around the exhaust pipe will prevent some of the heat from reaching the wall but as the heat builds up, the heat has no where to go and could overheat the combustible wall. Keep in mind that wrapping the pipe with the exhaust wrap moves more of the heat in the exhaust closer to the wall were it could overheat. Please consider adding the B-vent for the safety of your family and the boat. You have turned a lump of coal into a beautiful diamond! Keep up the awesome work! Charles
@OnboardLifestyle6 жыл бұрын
I am not an expert by any means so comments like yours are appreciated. After running the system and taking multiple temperature readings I will be modifying some of the exhaust installation. The readings were not alarming or unsafe but "peace-of-mind" tells me to make some adjustments. You will see those in the next video or two.
@caglenn16 жыл бұрын
Hi Teal, Check out planarheaters.com for the exhaust thru-wall thimble. They are pricy but I’m sure you can find them somewhere else cheaper. But it will give you a good idea of what to look for. Depending on how you plan to vent it out of the boat, one of those would work well on the outside of the boat and use a rubber cap to seal it off in the off season and to keep water out. Just a thought. Keep up the awesome videos! Charles

Nice, clean and organized as always!Though, i think that the fuel filters are installed the wrong way. Usually there is an arrow showing the fuel flow direction. From what i used so far (this is not my area of expertise) the big volume area of the filter is the "dirty" side where you are supposed to see if the filter is getting clogged.Thanks
@OnboardLifestyle6 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing but installed them according to their arrow. The filters are cheap disposable ones and I plan to upgrade them the first sign of contamination.
