I hope that when I am retired, if that day ever comes, I am still milling about my garage, tinkering and making videos, like you. I'm not so sure that your afterburner makes the heater work better, but it sure is interesting.

It stops the need to decoke it ,which takes 2 hours if you include the exhaust and silencer. My video I said 3 months ,but forgot all last winter (5 months)👍

I’m sorry, was chatting with an old pit crew colleague, that was on the other side of the garage and we still compete. Regards Gary

Your fishing trolley looks like you put a lot of time and effort into it👍one thing sprung to mind with it have you seen old tyres turned into tracks. I have put my fishing obsession aside for a long time now to be a good dad I'm now getting back more spare time and fishing again is on my mind

Yes I was on the F1 Country circus for 10 years, so that stopped my fishing! Then my daughter was born so I done the same as you. Now she’s 14 and I’m an old man, by the time I got lakeside I was ready to go home. Hence the trolley that I couldn’t justify spending the current £1200 on just a trolley. So I bought a 25 stone push motor and controller on eBay for £60. Whole project came to £120 and well spent not having another heart attack. Balance is 60/40 in favour of the drive wheels. Works great like walking the Dog with a 10 mile range.Feel free to copy I’m not buying any more Patents👍

I only been using a diesel heater a couple of months on my boat, red fuel as you know is cheaper, use mostly on #1 setting but sometimes #2 (as it is while writing this). I found I tend to get through between 2.5 and 3 litres in 24 hours running constantly (while doing some testing over a week) though I tend to turn it off for a couple hours during the day / eve to give it a rest as well as the batteries. I have to say if my dad saw your setup he would have had a fit, when I saw it I thought, ah my kind of bodger 🙂so have subbed your channel.

On setting 2 it literally uses twice as much juice. That’s why I keep it on (1) but add another pump with heated oil. I then add more air using a ducted fan into the inlet. The 200c+ at the outlet is nice without the noise.

Just FYI, each click of the pump moves 0.022ml of fuel, so if your controller reads Hz you can calculate fuel usage using that figure. If your controller has H1-H6, you can count the clicks with a stopwatch and figure what each setting uses.

Wow, that nickel really keeps the burn chamber amazingly clean. I'm just using diesel, but I'm going to have to try that.

I’ve responded to you last old buddy! As I’ve dug out my (5 )model China spot welder that worked great. The rest were Crap. Trying to charge the battery and find way of sending it to you (free of charge). It’s got a lithium battery inside. If it doesn’t take a charge I will make another battery pack like I do for my RC cars and helicopters. I have old Nickle for you to play with to understand the auto pulse settings. Never did try the stainless mesh, as if it’s not broke why fix it! My video I said 3 months of running ,but I forgot all last winter as-well. 5-6 months. Speak soon. Gary 👍

The nickel strips work beautifully, but did you ever test out that stainless mesh?
