I’m not really sure what all you are doing exactly or why, but I can tell that you are making sure to do it right. Respect to you my friend. Also the yota is sick!

Mate perfect timing on this vid. This week im doing the uni's and the rear wheel bearings on my rhd toyota. Great job bro!

Check your axle breather! Seeing the fluid not coming out in a single stream indicates air isn't able to get into the axle case.
@abpsd734 жыл бұрын
I noticed that too.
@andrewo89874 жыл бұрын
These axle breathers are notorious for failing. Even in a non-salt dry state like NM, AZ, TX, So Cal, etc. I swear every truck I service has a non-functional one. I keep extra ones on hand now and I'm not even a mechanic.
@christopherbrown81813 жыл бұрын
It does that when you don’t open the fill plug.

just have to say using self tapping screws to open and seal up your chassis saver is genius! I have killed a can or two because after one use they seal themselves shut.
@austinniemela4 жыл бұрын
Yes i have had the same can for a year now haha they seal shut and basically garbage!!

When pushing in bearings always try to use the outer edge of the bearing rather than the inner , Far less likely to damage a bearing that way . 🇬🇧
@GenevaCustoms4 жыл бұрын
Unless the bearing is being pressed onto a shaft. I’m not sure in the video but it looked like it was a press fit onto the shaft and the backing plate
@ecantoran4 жыл бұрын
On these Toyota axles the bearing slide right into the backing plate. What he is really pressing in is the collar. No damage done to bearing.

Thank you for making this. It helped me do the swap but for a 3.slow. Just drove it and it is still 3.slow but it is done.
@chrispratt54754 жыл бұрын
I had a 93 that I put 5.29 gears in and they told me that they had some left over axles for forklifts that Toyota was using not sure if that was your case or not with the bearings.

I’ve been wanting your videos and enjoying them. The fact your putting a tdi in your truck. Can you point me in the right direction as I’m having trouble finding the kit to do my conversion. I’m wanting to put a 06 tdi into an 04 ranger 4x4

all of your videos are so fun to watch. are you planning on redoing the interior of the truck as well?

Well... Coming from being a army ranger in Sweden and wondering why every US soldier had their flag reverse on their right shoulder in Afghanistan. If you’re gonna sell decals. A left and a right for each fender would probably be good idea 😉

@austinniemela4 жыл бұрын
Marciano Garcia 75-90 gear oil
@margar19834 жыл бұрын
@@austinniemela I see the newer Tacoma like mine recomends 75-85 but all the older models use 75-90...I am wondering if much of a difference or not. Because currently only a couple high end places sell that weight and I can get supertech or any other brand of 75-90 much cheaper. Thoughts?

John he had the entire rear end apart. There would have been no more labor. As for dangerous I cannot not see that from an engineering stand point. However I could see people some how screwing it up.
@carpetpunter1584 жыл бұрын
Problem is the handbrake (e-brake). You need to buy a transmission brake setup to replace the original.

Rick wanna see sum pictures from my wrecked 04 tacoma, p valve or not, it would have to be set so lite they would be ineffective . Early Tacoma’s were very ass end squirrely. And if they aren’t moving much, the calipers seize up.
