@@bnoone3072 Watching the excavator yank up trees and posts like a toothpick out of sand really distorts your sense of scale. I wouldn't try doing it, but it almost makes me feel like I could go out to a tree and just tip it over with a solid shove of my hands. I guess an excavator could be called "God gloves" in the hands of a skilled operator because it makes it look like a highly dexterous and powerful extension of themselves.

I call your spike rake a field harrow. They really are an inexpensive tool with many applications. I used mine to dress up the arena and to drag over horse poop in the field and break it up and spread it out.. Lots of fun watching you come up with solutions to your challenges. You do a good job.

Mavic Air Compass: Try calibrating it where you're gonna fly. Having power lines and transformers around will show magnetic fields that it is not used to see if you calibrate it in the woods for example. It's a simple and fast process, just enter calibration mode, hold it flat, do a 360 on your feet while holding it, then hold it nose up and do the same again. This usually fixes compass issues if they are not physical issues within the sensor.

Super job with the excavator w/o a power line mishap. The parking lot and perimeter look fantastic, this will make it easier for you to come back w/ your mower a couple times a year and keep the perimeter trimmed.

Try tying on a couple concrete blocks on top of you drag rake, it will help in getting spikes further into the ground, cause the spikes to dig as you drag it, rather than bounce around

little suggestion Matt for the camera lens. if it has provision on the front for filter attachments, local camera shop or Amazon should have a filter called a skylight lens or UV lens. used one for years on my camera lens. it helps to protect very expensive lens from being ruined by accidental knocks and scratches, and their cheap insurance.

Damn Matt! Don’t ever touch an unknown power wire especially when you know there is damage. You can’t just look at it and know it’s not hot. If you are going to do much work in proximity to wires or conduit you might invest in a voltage tester. Not a volt meter but a no touch tester that can pickup the presence of power with a touch of a button.

@@DieselCreek Brother I love you but unless you are 100% sure of where that wire was terminated or that it wasn’t damaged and shorted to a hot wire, don’t touch it. I was a telephone man for many years. Once after a storm I was working to restore service after a tree knocked down the drop wire to the house. I reached to pull the drop free but stopped about an inch before I grabbed it. I got my tester and sure enough the drop somehow had 14.4 kilovolts on it. I stopped and called the power company. The power was coming from another downed tree several houses away. I’m not a safety nazi but many years in the field taught me a few things.
