2007 Sprinter OM642 Engine oil change

Some key reasons sprinter om642s last so much longer than sedan, SUV om642s is 1.) superior air filter assembly & 2.) larger engine oil pan capacity. Important to choose an engine oil that won't end up as ash in DPF which is very expensive to replace. An oil catch can with SS scouring pads inside plumbed into CCV circuit is a good mod to keep oil vapors out of intercooler & intake manifolds. Those MANN oil filters are cheap enough to buy & swap out twice as often as regular oil change intervals & so easy being on top of engine. That oil filter housing where it bolts onto front engine cover is a common leak point btw. Good job with tutorial.

I have GL 320. Agree with above and just use rotella. One trick to extend air filter is use a shop vac to vacuum at the plastic pipes up front. Got 156k. So far so good. Use the 100k ohm delete too👊🏼

if you buy a new turbo inlet hose then it comes with a new seal inside which looks to be much improved over the original spec. the outer plastic surround is part of the problem due to heat from the turbo, despite the silicone seal.

0W30 is not recommend from Mercedes to engine 0M642 the correct is 5w30.

Yes the ow/30 is like water the 5w/30 is a better oil for that engine without doubt.

13.2 quart is the oil capacity in case u don't want to watch thru 20 mins of his slow talking video.
