Diet Break Review & Results!

Hi! I'm about 1 1/2 years post-op VSG surgery and I'm starting a weight loss medication (Contrave) to help me reach my goal weight. Contrave is supposed to curb your appetite and help stifle cravings. I'll be checking in each week to give you my results and let you know of any side effects.
Starting weight: 180.1
Week 1 Bupropion only 100mg AM only. Weight: 175.1
Week 2 Bupropion only 100mg AM/PM. Weight: 173.6
Week 1 - Contrave (Bupropion & Naltrexone). Bupropion 100mg/Naltrexone 3mg AM & PM Weight: 173.2
Week 2 Contrave AM: 200mg Bupropion & 6mg Naltrexone/
PM: 100mg Bupropion & 6mg Naltrexone PM. Weight: 171.8
Week 3 Contrave AM: 200mg Bupropion & 12mg Naltrexone/
PM: 100mg Bupropion & 12mg Naltrexone PM. Weight: 170.8
Week 4 Contrave AM: 200mg Bupropion & 12mg Naltrexone/
PM: 200mg Bupropion & 12mg Naltrexone PM. Weight: 170
Week 5: Same dosage Weight 169.2
Week 6: Same dosage Weight 168.6
Week 7: Same dosage Weight 167.8

I’m at 194lbs, I’m 5’7” , I gained 30lbs this last year 😭 due to starting antidepressant and quarantine/Covid stress. I’m off the antidepressant now, I just couldn’t deal with the weight gain anymore. My ideal weight is 160. I just got prescribed Contrave (have not started it yet) and I started Weight Watchers three weeks ago and have lost 7lbs. I can’t wait to see how Contrave helps as well !! I gained too because of Covid stress. Even though the Contrave has some side effects, it's definitely helping me with emotional eating and cravings. Hope it helps you too! Keep me posted.
