The principles of eating and diet are really simple. Our beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ taught us that less is more. To sip water and not chug it. To not fill our stomach to its fill. To breath and chew properly.
Food is the primary reason for illness, if we eat too much of it or if we eat the wrong harmful types. His approach to food was very organic. His usual eating items consist of dates, water, fresh milk, meat dish on buttered bread and excessive amount of soup.
Shaykh Yahya Ibrahim answers and explains..

I am an athletic person and have been practicing sports for more than 15 years. I have tried many diets, in addition to doing tests intermittently, and I have not found the best diet from a psychological and physical aspect like the diet of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.

May Allaah bless, preserve and guide this brother. He's lost a load of weight. I remember him over 20 years ago and he looks younger now than he did then! No lie. Masha'Allaah TabaarakAllaah.

The last point of drinking excess water is not from the sunnah. This was promoted by nutritionists earlier, but now they suggest to drink as per thirst. Neither excess in food or drink

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “When one of you eats food, let him not wipe his hand until he has licked it or has someone else to lick it.” (Sahih, Sunan Ibn Majah 3269)

Nowadays we can’t find organic foods. Everything includes chemicals. What is the solution for that?

Eat local ,eat seasonal ,be an active and social member of the community. If we move outside our homes and interact with people we will find organic ,local ,seasonal food for cheap .Be mindful of being fooled and blinded by the beauty of marketing and ease .Educate yourself and take an interest in anything that you do .

For fasting on Mondays and Thursdays- sunrise to sunset or more like 24 hours? Also, do you know if it’s a “dry” fast (so no water)?

Exactly how you would fast in Ramadan one would do the exact same thing for Monday and Thursdays. May الله make it easy for us to follow the Sunnah of Muhammad ﷺ

About not narrating "not eating during the night" What if you arrive back home from 10 to 12 am from a long day and all you do before you take a good bath is eat your meal or dinner? My family usually eat dinner at 6 to 8 pm depends on the situation. Is it good or bad? And what to do ? Thanks in Advance may Allah grwnt you ease brothers and sisters 🤲🏻🤍

It's not a bad thing but personally I usually stop eating after 8pm or 3 hours before bed and this helps loose any fat loss too. Also if you eat that late dont eat untill your stuffed . We live in different times, different routines etc so it's okay to eat late with family

I believe the reference is more in correlation with the hadiths about not eating and being full before sleep. Like modern medicine tells us to stop eating 3 hrs before bed. Thought less is ok 3hrs is for stomach issues So so long as your eating not to close to bed I think that’s what he means by don’t eat at night

Sitting posture is important, also stop eating as soon as u have had a few bites. Another ahadith says A food for 1 is enuff for 2 and a food for 2 is enuff for 4.
