I was working out and strong before but got pretty heavy up to about 285lbs. In April started cutting weight again and just started making common sense decisions again with food and mostly portion control and have lost about 50lbs so far with not losing much muscle or strength. My main point is I decided to let myself have diet soda and it has been the only thing that has kept me from giving in to eating bad a lot of times. I have not had any stomach or other health issues I know of. In fact by losing the weight I feel better all the way around. Including stomach and other related issues I was having better being too heavy and eating worse. I have about 2, sometimes 3 diet sodas a day. Some days maybe only one. @rylandavis29764 ай бұрын
If you had a link to the study I would be willing to look at it. Generally with these kind of studies it's one part of an evidentiary chain, especially coming from an animal model we would really need to describe the actual mechanism of how it could even be causing anxiety in the mice in the first place. Mice have all sorts of different pathways and different receptors than humans and just all animals in general, its why you can have caffeine with almost 0 danger but your dog would die if it took the same dose. If we cant identify an actual mechanism for this effect, it could really be millions of other things causing it and if a mechanism exists for it in mice it might not exist at all in humans. This kind of evidence is useful for only one thing and that is to point us in the direction of something to investigate, I would not be concerned at all about this study especially if you are taking artificial sweeteners and aren't experiencing anxiety. If you have anxiety and are experiencing anxiety you can try removing them and see if it helps there's no harm in trying to see what works for you. But in general this kind of thing is impossible to actually draw a scientific conclusion for

Speaking really from experience and anectodes, people who cut out the sucralose and aspartame and when i did it, that increased digestion and reduced bloating. Maybe the bad thing isn't really the sweeteners themselves but the fact that because you're thinking like "mmm no calories" makes it reaaally easy to overconsume them. I see this a lot with bodybuilders, to down the food or keep the hunger bearable, they work up to ridiculous volumes of diet soda a day In more "therapeutical" dosages it makes perfect sense that they might even be good to toughen up the biome because they're not very digestable
