Do you have any videos on processed meat? I eat a lot of it for convenience did not think it could be potentially harmful
@GaryHighFruit2 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised you didn't know that. processed meat is one of the most assuredly harmful things. If you want convenience... I eat a very convenient diet, and there's no meat at all. It's helped me so much to understand the protein myth. We don't need to even THINK about protein. Fruit has enough; and fruit is really convenient. I've held office jobs and took a train/bus trip to Disneyland and back on a high-fruit raw diet (bringing all the food with me in a suitcase even!). You just need to keep it simple; no need for recipes or blending. See my Carboraider Diet.
@betrayedpredator88262 жыл бұрын
There's been quite a few studies linking processed red meats to colon cancer, etc. Ignore the dude trying to sell you a diet plan (fruit has enough protein? Lol?). I would try to limit your consumption and meal prep, ie chicken breast, shred it, and package it so it's easy to grab and go.
@adamszczerba57772 жыл бұрын
Not all processed meat is bad, you want to avoid meat that contain nitrites since it’s carcinogenic. Here in Europe a lot people have become more aware of what they eat so a lot of companies sell nitrite-free processed meat. Just a personal example but I eat sliced ham almost every day which only contains salt, spices and lemon juice, perfectly healthy.

*Suggested video topic* Is net carbs a real think? How many calories are there in fiber?
@Magic_beans_2 жыл бұрын
Short version: No, it’s a marketing tactic. Neither the US Food & Drug Administration nor the American Diabetes Association recognize net carbs. They both suggest using total carbs. For the sake of US labeling laws, soluble fiber has 2 kcal/gram* and insoluble fiber has none. Sugar alcohols can range anywhere from 0.3 to 3 kcal/gram, which is how sugar-free candies can still have plenty of Calories. Those numbers are probably roughly correct, but calories extracted from food will vary slightly by person, by food, and by circumstance. * while soluble fiber isn’t digested _per se_, it does get fermented along the way and produces some short-chain fatty acids, which as you might expect do have some energy.

This video, and your channel, are fantastic examples of not only verified, accurate information, but CRITICAL THINKING in general. You are doing a huge service far beyond the fitness industry. Sadly, as you showed in this video, critical thinking, verifying informational sources, challenging assumptions, and not using cheap, theatrical emotional triggers, puts you at a huge disadvantage for spreading truth when facing the well oiled hype and propaganda machine of internet gurus. Critical thinking is boring and difficult., and will never get the "clicks" of Tony Robbins and Dr. Oz. One of many reasons we're probably doomed as a species
