@biolayne1 Mark also said in Joe Rogan's that he fasts after training, because eating (insulin spike) blunts the hyperteophy signalling induced by resistance training... Would love to hear your take on this...

Dr Norton spends too much time putting down other peoples’ theories or facts. It would be nice if he spent time, imparting his knowledge and how it will help others. If this is Dr Norton’s modus operandi? It’s time to move on , freshen up your approach ? Just engaging in, this person said A, but there is no research to say this happens, so it must be erroneous, is kinda worn?

People are always talking about muscle who have no muscle. No food and trying to build muscle is exactly like trying to drive a car with NO GAS and NO OIL. Mind you I fast but its definately not for building muscle.

mh.. i hear something pretty strange to me: why do you say that gh is not anabolic? 😮 i mean: how can an hormon which increase protein sysntesis and stimulate igf-1 prduction cannot be anabolic? did everyone always get it wrong?

I always do my cardio on empty stomach 3x per week. Not for these reason, its because i feel the best doing it on empty stomach. I would have only coffee in the morning and strait to run or gym before 6am. My breakfast starts from 10am and up. Its habitual thing nothing else.
@TylerCipriano5 сағат бұрын
I always explain it this way. When we were kids we ate candy by the truckload and played until the street lights came on. Never got tired, never needed a nap, never got a "spike" lol. Reason is because we hadn't yet damaged our insulin signaling pathway and the glucose went straight into the cells the way it was meant to. All of you people blaming sugar for "spikes" and crashes are insulin resistant due to too much fat and too much protein. Simple as that. Do this experiment. Eat only sugar for a week. I promise you you'll lose weight. Then come back and tell me how sugar causes weight gain.

I commented on his video a few weeks ago and of course no replies. It just amazes me how Dr's can spew out info without actually supporting whether it's fact or not. He just goes by what he thinks works for him because of his occupation.

You use a lot of nonsense to disclaim facts. It’s a shame that you are bent on misleading the masses. There are tons of contrasting science and that doesn’t mean it’s real science. Evidence in lives are documented with Dr Lustig model. Many people didn’t watch past 10 mins

You are just sounding loud and trying to bring in logic that doesn’t make sense. Science is fence based and you are talking about the many unknowns. People are changing lives from Dr Lustig model. Sit down and learn

I read in best circumstances as a newbie, women can gain 1lb of muscle and men 2lbs of muscle a month (natural).
@aquamarine9991110 сағат бұрын
I do a three day pure water fast once per month. Sometimes I do resistance training while fasting (if the hotel has a decent gym). Sometimes just cardio. But I MUCH prefer to do resistance training a few hours after I've eaten. I mean, life is so short - why suffer unncessarily? lol Of course, some would say that 3-day fasts are unnecessary. And they may be right. But I've experimented with all types of fasting - up to 7 days on just water - and this subjectively feels right for my body. It's not to lose weight. I hope there are autophagy benefits, but obviously there's no proof of that (yet).
