If you want a smoothie that is a little bit less sweet use half a zucchini instead of banana. it won't spike your blood sugar if you have problems with that, and it still adds that creaminess that a banana does. plus the other fruit will still ensure a sweet smoothie

She probably thinks its problematic because it's kind of promoted as a big binge session. Most people order a ridiculous amount of food for mukbangs
@WindXadepts5 жыл бұрын
It's most likely because it encourages people to binge eat food for both YT income and popularity. It's a bad gateway for people with food addictions, Nikado Avocado is one of those changes that is pretty impactful. Tho vegan Mukbanging isn't nearly as bad as those eating 10 dinner boxes from maccas, overeating is always bad.

Also a lot of the ones I’ve seen that aren’t by like mukbang channels they order a bunch of food but then they eat a pretty normal amount or maybe a little more than a normal amount, they just order a bunch of food then save the rest, which they shouldn’t force themselves to overeat but I can see why it would be problematic or even triggering

at first it was bc people didn’t want to eat alone so they livestreamed usually a big lunch (contrary to what people say, but it’s more customary to eat bigger portions to avoid snacking in some countries) but the main purpose was to avoid loneliness with a hectic schedule, and people tipped them during those livestream, but American (youtubers) love sensationnalism and consumerism so it ended up being huge amount of different dishes almost like a challenge, it also lost the core idea of it being a livestream bc it’s not a discussion, it’s a monologue with spectators.

I would love to see a review on Raw Alignment/ Alyse Parker's latest diet videos- I feel like you have done quite a lot of these on vegans, so it would be interesting and a nice contrast to see a review on an animal product heavy diet. :)

Love your videos! Really informative and engaging. Avocado and toast is a very vegan thing right now, but I will say that in my native country Perú, avocado mashed into a bread roll is a typical and cheap breakfast item you can get from any street cart. It's funny how these things become new trends in other countries

Could you do a video about intuitive eating and how it could be harmful to people recovering from BED? In high school and college I developed anorexia. The doctor and dietitian I saw pushed intuitive eating on me. Long story short, I ended up going from anorexia to binge eating. I can't intuitive eat. I have to plan my meals and portions meticulously or i WILL overeat and make myself sick.

Yes for sugar in moderation! If I'm making kimchi stew and it's coming out sour, I add sugar to even it out. Bc the recipe I use is full of vegetables and tofu (and tuna bc I'm pescetarian) I figure a little sugar won't cancel out how nourishing the stew is

Cool to see a dietician review a vegan diet and be positive about it. There’s a lot of vegans on YT that are nuts and do not eat a balanced vegan diet, and you’re right they don’t eat normal portion sizes for any normal person. It doesn’t shock me that a lot of people recently this year went off a plant based/vegan diet. I’ve been vegan for 4 1/2 years, I’ve always ate intuitively because I always watched these vegan KZbinrs and didn’t understand how they were satiated or felt good ever!

For my smoothies, I prep all of my smoothies during one session by blending the different fruit, etc. combos then I freeze the smoothies in ice cube trays. That way in the morning I just throw the ice cubes of a particular flavor in the blender in the morning and Voilá! a smoothie. If they cubes are too big to blend throw them in a baggie and hit it with a rolling pin a few times. It’s so much faster!

I never used dates but I wanted to try them, so I bought some yesterday and tried to eat one... it tastes like a teaspoon of pure sugar. :< Why would anyone put more than two dates in a smoothie, ever? Also, I sometimes boil my vegetables, but I boil them in the tomato sauce/coconut milk that I'm making my sauce with and then I just add pasta or rice or whatever. That's also really delicious! It just adds more flavour to your sauce and you're not losing those water-soluble vitamins. :)

THE best smoothie recipe that I've found, love and therefore now rarely deviate from: 1 frozen spinach pellet, 2 scoops of frozen kale (about the same as the spinach), 1 funsize apple, 1 funsize pear, 1 funsize banana, a tiny bit of avocado or coconut oil (whatever is on hand). That's the basic & to that, depending on the time of the month, I add either 1tbsp each of flax & pumpkin seeds or sesame & sunflower seeds. No milk or yoghurt, just distilled water - boom - best smoothie ever.

I love that you are educating others about veganism. It's more important now than ever (climate related), for people to not be afraid to eat more plants and less animal products, or perhaps even go all the way. Having a nutritionist put a stamp of approval on a vegan diet, is a huge deal. Thank you! (Perhaps even more impactful that you are not actually vegan yourself, and no one will think that you are just biased.)
