Abbey is the Real Deal - she gives facts, common sense and really is there to serve everyone, giving us a variety of balanced diet. I think teaching pre-teens and teens, how to use their judgement, discern and follow their guts so to speak in these matters is important, there will always be misinformation out there.

@olive9965 жыл бұрын
I would hope so, @girlwhoseeks. Vegan diets need some supplements anyway. Vegan diets for little picky eaters probably need more. Please say you aren't one of these people who think supplements are somehow dangerous? There's not enough evidence to back up that claim, but there is evidence that most people, regardless of diet, are somewhat deficient in some key essential nutrients. I personally think everyone should supplement. It's difficult to get everything you need without overeating, conversion rates may be different, and much of the food you buy is artificially fortified anyway.

Izzy Paradis regardless of if you eat meat or not you should supplement vitamin b12! I take a bcomplex and vitamin d3 supplement (the only supplements I take) and I think everyone should because most of us don’t get enough sun and unless I wanna drink unfiltered lake water I know I’m not getting enough b12 meat is artificially supplemented with b12 it doesn’t naturally occur in animal products (or at least not enough to meet you daily requirements) and b12 is poorly absorbed by the body so I like to take it safe and supplement it with a vitamin

Too many girls out here are just crazy about protein shakes all day long.

depending on your height and weight 100 grams really aren't that much? I am vegetarian and avoid most dairy products because i couldn't digest them if my life depended on it lmao but I still get about 100-110 grams of protein. 90 of these are from natural sources like beans, tofu, broccoli, nut butters, etc! The rest is one scoop of unflavoured and unsweetened protein powder a day BECAUSE I don't eat meat, fish or much dairy. Everyone gets about 100 grams of Protein when eating meat/fish so i don't see the problem. Yes there's way too much hype about the amount you need but 100 grams is a good amount for lifting heavy weights 6x/week.

These types of people give health coaches such a bad name. I am a certified health coach through the institute for integrative nutrition and we ARE NOT taught to prescribe any specific nutritional information or diet. While we are educated on a variety of nutritional information we are in no way told to push any specific form of eating (aside from eating in a way that is mindful, balanced and intuitive) In fact we are encouraged to act as a liaison between an individual’s healthcare team. For example if a person is diabetic and is placed on a diet by their physician or dietician we can work with them to develop habits to incorporate these new foods, navigate the grocery store in a new way or perhaps come up with a meal prepping schedule. We support and guide people through lifestyle changes and help them break through and build habits that are sustainable and realistic. Some people just like to blur the lines and make us all look crazy and irresponsible.

My doctor was convinced that the food combing diet would work wonders for me! I ate this way for 30 days, on top of actually eating both gluten free and dairy free cause I did have some sensitivities to those food groups. I was actually in worse shape after those 30 days, having no energy, losing a lot of weight, and spent most of the time in bed. Not to mention she had me on 27 “all-natural” pills/supplements to help heal my digestive tract which I had to take every day! I purposely did not watch Kenzie’s video because I KNEW it would trigger me and make me feel like I wasn’t involved in the “main stream” fad diet bs. I am SO happy I found this video! Definitely subscribing to your channel!

This is such an important video! For so long I was confusing feeling full with being bloated and I've restricted so much because I was afraid of being bloated. Normalizing satiation is something our society really needs

Can I just say I love you? You don’t give biased opinions you give facts and SO MANY dieticians and nutritionists, as well as “health” nuts I come across speak by their opinions and it makes me so mad 😒
