I'd say the actual weight difference isn't huge but the extra required effort to ride a 450 is very real. The engine acts like a gyro making the bike not want to change direction in corners or in the air as easily. Riding a 125 after getting off a 450 feels like when you pick up an empty can that you thought was full. That's the best way I can describe it.

Great metaphor. The torque on the 4 strokes really dose make a huge difference when cornering, downshifting, and making mid air adjustments! What kind of dirt bike do you ride?

@@RadAdventureDude Usually a KX450 I also have a CR125, an old IT490 and a couple pit bikes. Oh, and a scooter we rejetted for methanol.

@@RadAdventureDude The scooter is still pretty slow but it will actually rev all the way out now instead of running out of power. 67mph according to GPS.

I’ve been riding for 26 years, I weigh 240lbs and I gave up my 450f for a 250f. I’m faster, more confident, I have more fun and I don’t tire as easily

Absolutely! It will have lots of power, but great to grow into! Start with micro movements of the throttle and brakes then once your comfortable you will have plenty of power to keep improving!

Yeah I'd say I agree, more so I'm trying to hang on my hands get very tired quicker on a 450 rather then the 250, still not sure I'd ever but a 250f again. Love my kx450f.

My 2021 KX250x is plenty of torque and 3 hours on that and it's siesta time.

I dont agree,it's more fatiguing riding a 250 because you are going through the gears to keep up with 450

I say that regarding the amount of torque that the 450s produce. For me that is what wears on my body after riding all day, over shifting through the gears! But it affects everyone differently! Thanks for the feedback!
