A little confused about something. I just did a collaboration project with 2 other artist 2 of the writers use Ascap and I use BMI. When i try to register it says i can't do it with artist who have Ascap. What do I do?

if you get your on ASCAP or BMI will you be able to recoupe the money you would have made before you had it or only going forward?

You need to do it within their time frame which is around 2-3 years. If not, then the royalties are not recoupable and they go to something called blackbox royalties
