Mid Northern California, to Texas was Mexico not too long ago the border moved not the people. The Mexican-American war in 1850 made Southern California part of the United States! Think about that for a second 1850…. just 100 years untill 1950 when people had just about enough some people making them second-class citizens in their own land!!!! and let everybody know who they are so that they understand what’s up ❤ isn’t it ironic how some people now think their land is being taken away by Mexicans… they need to read a book or something

Chicano means red children of the earth. It means natives. The reason why this culture came was because the natives were pist that the people of the south sold their lands. CORRECTION: Cholo is a certain style/fashion among Mexican Americans in the United States. CHOLO IS NOT A GANGMEMBER. There has been Cholos that are only about car clubs or Lowriders. Gangbangers and Cholos are 2 different things. For example, the Mara salvatruchas are not Cholos. They are gangbangers (pandilleros). Many old time Mexican gangbangers in the West coast did dress Cholo style. Most of today's gangbangers don't dress Cholo. There are Mexican gangs that wear black leather clothing and wear spikes, and chains, even black lipstick. Some are in biker gangs. These are gang members but ARE NOT CHOLO. Just like Pachucos, some were in gangs, and others were not. Pachuco, Chuco, Cholo are styles. Not Mexican gangbangers. The shaved heads, large white T shirts, khakis, chuks, is not cholo, chuco, or pachuco. It is gangbanger or pandillero.

Un Pachuco es mas o menos lo mismo que un cholo. El Pachuco era un “cholo” en su era de tiempo. Si tuviste el traje del chuco y todo eso en los 1940s-70s te maltrataban en las calles. algunas veces en la era de 1980 tambien. un chicano es un mexicano americano.. un chico/a nacido en los estados unidos pero tiene padres o abuelos nacido en mexico.. es chicano. y sigue con generationes. mis abuelos con mexicanos, mis padres tambien, pero yo soy primer generation chicano.. y mis hijos seran segunda generation chicanos, y sus hijos de tercer generation.. y sigue mas adelante.

And a Chicano is an American of mexican decent, being a Mexican American. And the word Chicano is a label Cesar Chavez came up with in the 60s to distinguish us Mexican American from our people from mexico cuz the US government was treating us the same as braceros.
