Tune in to see what the similarities and differences are between EMDR and Brainspotting, and which one may be the best fit for you!
I call them "sister therapies" because they work so similarly in how effective they are at processing trauma. Yet, the way in which both of these treatments is administered feels very different in experience. In fact, I often use both, interchangeably for some of my clients. Depending on the topic at hand, EMDR may feel like a better way of processing, wherein a different topic may feel more well-suited for Brainspotting. I love how both will get you the results that you are yearning for, in your trauma recovery.

In therapy I use a combination of empirically validated and researched techniques for the treatment of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, and treatment of eating disorders. The ideas from my videos are frequently adapted from multiple sources and are used in my own practice with my clients. Many of these techniques come from the founder of Brainspotting, David Grand, and from the work of EMDR creator and founder, Francine Shapiro. I am also Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) certified, and have an additional certification in Fitness and Nutrition Coaching from National Exercise Sports Training Association.
