Definitely throw them headphones on for Tool... I was a little sad when you didn't. 😢 lol The visual videos are overkill for a first listen. Interesting choice for your first Tool song. 😊 You should totally dive into their catalog - definitely the drum cam of Pneuma and I personally recommend Eulogy, Jambi, 46 and 2, the Grudge. Oh, and The Pot. You might want to skip their official videos and just pull up lyrics. These guys are deep and amazingly talented.

Congrats on 24K! No better way than diving into something different. The Pot is funky. Ænema is a rage track. Sober is a tight groove. And the video interpretation is always different than the lyrical interpretation. Vocals are pushed back with the instruments. Not above them in the mix. It's just how they roll.

They're kinda hard rock with metal influences, but also have ambient and psychedelic qualities, and a strong jazz influence. They use several different time signatures, often at the same time (polyrhythms) and instrument settings to create a unique sound unlike any other music group. They have quite a few segue tracks, intros and outros that are really bizarre, and add to the theme of each album. Some call these filler, but this is disingenuous, as filler is to fill out a short album, where their albums are over an hour long.
