Sweet Spaghetti! We had a friend who used Condensed Milk to the red spaghetti sauce. I just can’t get used to that very sweet sauce. Simple food, Pancit, Bululo, all the Adobos, Crispy Pata and all the Sinigan soups are easy for me. The fish I like, but if possible i really prefer baked or grilled fish instead of fried/deep fried fish. I love white rice, but i not a fan of fried rice or breakfast garlic rice. Those to oily for me. But Patis, Diniguan, I just can’t eat those. But yep, i like my American food..
@dazeltv13513 ай бұрын
Sweet spaghetti; Dazel does that. Add condensed milk to spaghetti. 😁 I prefer tomato sauce; not sweetened. Fish as long as it’s fillet; I’m good. I don’t like fish that I have to pick the bones. 😁 I eat all the Filipino food; but miss some of the food that we eat in America. Like good Texas BBQ brisket smoked for hours. Yum!

Drivers pass on blind corners?! That comment probably single handedly makes me reconsider my retirement to the Philippines lol! That goes beyond simply being unsafe and moves into the territory of devaluing human life. 😮
@dazeltv13513 ай бұрын
I always slow down and prepare to stop on blind corners now. The big public transportation buses (yellow Ceres buses in Aklan) are notorious for this maneuver. The first time it happened to me, I was just shocked! Bus was on my lane; head on. All I could do was slam on my brakes. You have to be extremely defensive in driving in the Philippines.

I'll screw it up my friend. I just rather remember how good Cajun food was; than try to replicate it here. Same with eating steaks; I just gave it up once I moved to the Philippines. Not sure what you're talking about. Most of the "western brand" restaurants or food stalls are all over Manila.

I just haven’t found authentic Tex-Mex food here; Mexican food here in my opinion is just okay. I eat nachos here; but not in the level of nachos in San Antonio, Texas. I’m happy to eat the “western brand” food here; but do miss the authentic stuff in Los Angeles, Texas, and Louisiana. Not complaining, just saying I miss it after 13 years being here.
