My experience on this weird phenomenon. DESCLAIMER: The Thumbnail is completely random. ALSO READ BELOW!
I realise obviously the fact that English is not my first language makes a difference in the way I use it, but it's so close to the way I use italian that it feels like the differences are minor. Of course it does play a part! But it's not just about naturalism and feeling spontaneous, it's more surrounded by all the general behaviour and the general feeling that being you in that language gives you. Maybe cause the people around me were different, maybe cause my experience were and also because the English language is structured in a certain way that's what happens to me. But of course I'm not just talking about me, I'm talking in a broader picture taking my experience (since that is what I have) as an example. :)
