When opening a bottle like champagne, I put a dish towel over the top. Then twist the top out. Usually any tiny mistake will mop up. And it keeps the "cork" from running away.. lol My dearest Nana made a mistake once while using her old fashioned pressure cooker. She learned the top could run away and put a hole in the ceiling. A long time ago, I had a friend from Japan and when he came back to the USA to finish college, he gave me one of those marshmallow lollipops in the shape of Rudolph. My other friend and I thought he had just picked it up at the airport. Now I'm kind of sorry I wasn't more appreciative. It probably really did come from Japan.

I just got a Christmas order of treats from a place called The Swiss Colony - which is based in the US state of Wisconsin despite their name. 😂 My favorite were the milk chocolate macadamia nut clusters. Don't mean to keep commenting, but does Japanese celebrate xmas? With the tree, presents, family gatherings, football, and lots of food stuff? Do you decorate with lights outside if you have room? My daughter and I are saving for a trip to Hawaii next summer, so we are (I am) only doing the stocking, small meal, and 1 present. No tree, no decor, no over the top presents. Just us together.

Japanese people basically celebrate Christmas!! After Halloween, the city immediately goes into Christmas mode. By the way, there are not many Christians. But they love all the events! Families with small children gather as a family. Students gather as couples or with friends. People who like being alone go alone. And there are probably many people who don't care about Christmas at all and just live their lives as usual these days. Wow!! I'm so jealous of your trip to Hawaii🥰 You and your daughter's Christmas is also very nice. We wish you and your daughter a Merry Christmas🎅❤️

Japan ist nicht Christlich und die Snacks nicht traditionell wie hier in Deutschland 🧑‍🎄😁. Der Stollen mit Bohnenfüllung und Tee Bestäubung statt Puderzucker sehe ich zum ersten mal. Pokemon, Kirby und Disney Weihnachts Süßes ist nicht tu bekommen, weil das "Fest der Liebe" in Deutschland eine ernste Sache ist 😉 Nicht mal Coca Cola macht andere Geschmacksrichtungen . Weihnachten ist hier so langweilig und jedes Jahr gibt es das selbe zu kaufen, in den immer selben Verpackungen 🥱 Wünsche trotdem schöne Weihnachten und ein guten Rutsch 🎉 in 2025

Die meisten Japaner sind keine Christen, daher könnte es für Menschen in Ländern mit vielen Christen ein seltsames Weihnachtsfest sein🤣Ich war auch überrascht, als ich diesen Stollen zum ersten Mal sah😳 Persönlich finde ich, dass Weihnachten in Deutschland wunderschön aussieht, also würde ich es gerne erleben! !
