The amount of hard work and dedication to craft these exquisite sweets as they were crafted when the shop opened, it's wonderful to see. I didn't appreciate Japanese sweets as a child but as an adult, it's not just the product but also the process to craft it lovingly that makes you appreciate them more.

Wow these sweets are absolutely incredibly made and are gorgeous to behold. I want to take a trip to Japan just to eat these beautiful treats! At first I found myself wondering if I could pay an obscene amount of money to have an international overnight shipment made of these beautiful treats, but seeing the aesthetic sense of the way they’re served in house made me change my mind and want to go eat them there directly! With love from America

just a heads up these arent sweet, they are subtle and are made from bean pastes. they are pretty however and suit the seasons. You can look up K Minamoto, they deliver in the states and have a physical shop where they sell imported items (although def not as fresh as these in the video)

@ i absolutely adore red bean paste soooo much. Overly sweet things aren’t really my thing, so that works out very well in this case ♥︎♥︎♥︎
That was incredible to watch. Japan, like France and India, use very manual methods to make things. There is so much of a human being invested in each thing they make. What artists! Precise measurements, precise techniques, precise handmade sweets. Amazing. I found that so endearing and rich in tradition. It is a lost art in Western worlds which are so mechanized. I loved watching this, and it reassures me that handicrafts and art are never lost in the human race, but always there, to connect us to food, things we use, and each other. Deeply grateful.

Thank you so much for this video...I'm from Sapporo and living in the US for more than 50yrs and I never saw how to make these kind of sweets before it was very intresting and amazing!!!
This is purely art in confectionery form. I would be sad to eat something this beautiful and elegant. I really wish Japanese sweets were available in Europe but seeing how delicate and labour intensive the process is and how delicate the product, I imagine it would be difficult to ship them so far and very few confectioners here know how to work with agar and red bean paste. I really like how the sweets are also much healthier than majority of ours. I'm definitely going to visit ❤
