Reginald Wigglebottom Oh I know right, Pauly and I played in the tailings pile for ages, Benny jumped straight in the hole. I couldn’t believe what was just laying on the surface. I’m pretty sure this flow of Rhyolite that the crystals were in dates back 200 million years ago! 200,000,000 years!? 😳 just crazy isn’t it. @@allysonhean4204 Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure we have our sayings here that would make Aussies scratch their heads. Do you know "high tail it"? As in, "I'm late, I better high tail it home!" I believe it comes from the fact that a white-tailed deer lifts it's tail to show the white underside when it runs away from danger. I'm pretty sure kangaroos don't lift their tails when they run.

Crystals may be on your bucket list but Rhyolite / Thunder Eggs and Calsidneay ( don't think I spelled that correctly) are on my bucket list , I find pleanty of different crystals over here and I love searching for them but there isn't any Thunder Eggs or other beautiful pieces here like there are over there in Australia. Keep healthy and safe my friend from the other side of our planet, best regards as always from Lloyd.

Wow those crystals are so lovely. I have one cluster of tiny cluttered quartz about 3-4 inches by 2 inches and it just looks so delicate. I love having it displayed.

Holy crap, what amazing crystals. Thanks for showing how you dig them out. They cleaned up perfectly. Do you think my wife and kids would buy into the fact that I'm going to start digging a huge hole in my backyard to find rocks and minerals? Just tell them, "what I'm saving money on a pool!" Priceless crystals man, so clear and amazing, just wow.

Katherine Doughty Haha, the guy who took us out there actually said he’ll dig there till like 3 in the morning sometimes haha! It could even be better cause it’s a focused light. Yeah definitely check that page out. It’s super cheap and his quality is just nuts. I hope you guys are staying well Kath!!!!!

Wishing you well too. My wife and I returned to Canada from Arizona 2 weeks ago with about 100 kg of rough material and we are just finishing up our required 14 day quarantine. I got my saw going and six tumblers. Hoping to start some polishing with diamond sanding pads soon. No need to go out anywhere. I don't think I'll be getting bored anytime soon. I love your videos, we are learning together. Stay safe & keep up the great work!

We have a crystal dig about 150 miles east of us in Arkansaw. It is a paid dig but some fantastic specimens have been found. Man, those little clusters are beautiful as well as the singles. You will be looking at those in your old age and smiling. Havagudun my friend and stay safe.

I noticed a hint of lavender when you were picking one up. Simply lovely! Herkimer and Lake County diamonds are simply named for the place that they are found, and are super clear quartz that resemble ice.
@josephgirone30814 жыл бұрын
As a Herkimer miner, I can tell you that Herkimers, only come from Herkimer, New York. The rest are just beautiful clear quartz crystals. Again, great video and stay safe.

"I'm just going to sit here and look at them." Yeah, I feel ya brother. "I've said beautiful too many times." That one made me laugh because I often tell myself the same thing. Someone needs to invent new words I suppose. I also like the words "thought provoking." Because looking at them takes your mind some where else. New sub Wishing you the best of it all.
@Rookie_Rockounding4 жыл бұрын
Anita Mitchell Hey Anita, I love your comment haha! That’s rad, and thought provoking is spot on. I held the main one for sometimes up to 10 mins just looking at it and admiring it. They’re things of wonder hey. I’m so glad you subbed and I hope you enjoy the video. Hope to chat soon 👍😊

Kids in a candy shop, lol. I don’t know if it’s the camera or angles but some are kinda purplish like amethyst. Also surprised you didn’t use any iron out to get the rust off. Some great thumbnail specimen
@Rookie_Rockounding4 жыл бұрын
Grassguy 420 Haha seriously like kids in a candu shop, I was shaking from excitement the first hour haha! Yeah so they have a lilac colour. It’s hard to see it but it’s definitely there. So the stuff we have out here in Australia is the rust remover I used. It’s like an Australian version of iron out. 😉👍👍👍

This makes me think of a video I once watched about growing crystals. The host was from Eastern Europe and had a fantastic accent, and at the end of the video, as he was about to reveal what he’d grown, he said, “I inwite you to obsaerve my impraysive creestal!”
